Shitcoiners going to shitcoin.
Hard to say anything else without looking like I defend CGT which I don’t.
That said I also don’t condone changing the rules to benefit yourself so you can dump your shit on the market. nostr:note1m4q74ze7nws27pc0u2p2syumn7n22sa2rjaerz7rf393zp303ngqcq8s02
No worries, you raise a good point I shouldn’t have just reposted and given my take. Likely it was posted to illicit that exact response. I must do better in future.
Someone has to be that volatility shield for family. I do the same for my mother-in-law albeit on a much lower level and not to drive her retirement. It feels good to be able to protect and support others. Even better when you can show them that hard work hodling pays off.
It is certainly looking like part of it. But needs to be underpinned by solid bedrock. Without Bitcoin it wouldn’t be a viable option, thankfully now it is.
Sad but true, the shaping is already happening. Starting by linking Bitcoin to Trump’s election irrespective of the fact that it has been a balloon under water.

You can’t force anyone to change their mind. They are either open to learning and changing or they are not. Remember how most of us take 2-3 touch points over years to really dive into the rabbit hole.
It may be important to remember that the goal of elected officials is often just to get re-elected. To keep the reins of power they will often sow discourse because it is a tried an true tactic ‘Divide and Conquer’. So remember, should the blue or the red team win it is likely that the vast majority of us all lose.
It is our job to keep those in power accountable, we can’t do that without comparing notes, holding our own respective teams to a higher standard and, most importantly focusing our attention on them rather than on one another.
The bulk of people share the same core views, it is mostly a disagreement on the ‘how’. So as with all disagreements we should openly discuss and be willing to change our opinions when confronted with solid information (even if it goes against ‘the party line’).
Keep your heads folks, and remember, remember the 5th of November…it should never be forgot!
I just started reading 'Wind Through the Keyhole' by Stephen King and am tracking my progress on www.OpenLibrarian.com #Read #Books #Reading #OpenLibrarian #OpenLibrary #Bookstr #Readstr
16 years ago the world changed as did the course of all of our lives and at first, very few of us even noticed.
Happy White Paper day folks! Have a good one.

I just finished reading 'The Mandibles' by Lionel Shriver and gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars!

UK taxes getting wrecked in the budget, small businesses finding extra NI is going to hurt and the CGT increase is a slap in the face with the new thresholds the tories put in place…what a time to be alive…stay humble, stack sats and opt out!
Family member reached out to ask what the best time was to buy on a recurring basis. The may well be one, but imo it shouldn’t matter. More sats today than yesterday is always the goal.
I dutifully reminded them the old proverb, “Time IN the market, not TIMING the market”.
Stay humble…stack sats.
I add to the list whenever I hear about something on RHR or Bitcoin[dot]Review or when I spot something on Nostr. It isn’t the most comprehensive list but it is decent.
Finally, after all the amazing work by the team over at the Internet Archive their sister site ‘Open Library’ is back up and running allowing access to their book APIs again.
Great work from that team, a sounds like a mammoth effort took place to steady the ship.
Good new is that OpenLibrarian the nostr client is back up and running now. If you’re a bookish person please go check it out and leave comments/feedback on the GitHub repo.
Spin up a new Nym if you’re concerned about entering your current nsec. Will add other login options in the future.

Yeah that photo was a good one, phone did all the work. I just clicked and that was what I got, couldn’t repeat it if I tried. Would be a member myself if we were more local, settle for visiting every other year.
We actually went down the Cove for lunch but went to the first little place the Beach Shack (the crab shack was still opening up), had myself the obligatory crab sandwich, it was great. We’d been told to go there by an island expat who now works up in the far north (over the border, where winter is a real season).
Will def be going back down there, Steephill Cove was one of our favourite days out this trip.
Pure grift…it amazes me the mental gymnastics that some Bitcoiners have when they convince themselves he is ‘on their team’. The enemy of my enemy isn’t necessarily my friend, when the winds change he would as soon throw Bitcoin under the bus to save his own hide.
Folks need to remember that he is no different than most other politicians, blue or red, self serving.
