Had a chat with a fellow driving across the country to NYC who asked me where we camp, and how far it was to Grand Junction.... I mentioned we camp on BLM land, to the north, it's free and we were alone, hadn't seen a soul....
He said he would never, ever, do that. He only feels safe in a Walmart parking lot, "although there's some places I will no longer go. You do need to make sure everything is secured, though, or people will steal it."
It got me thinking, is camping where others aren't scary? Do you avoid places devoid of others? We certainly do, we've spent the last 2 trips in remote locations, under the stars, no tent.... Do you seek out these experiences, or am I crazy? lol

nostrudel and amethyst make switching profiles extremely easy, just sayin.
My dad is a car freak, he went thru like 18-20 corvettes while I was growing up, all from late 60's early 70's. Rebuilt 57 Chevy, an old Porsche 911, an el Camino, lol. He even restored a Subaru Brat for me. Cars are a good hobby, no doubt.
I believe Amethyst does proactive ones kinda like this, if a few of my contacts mark something as spam or whatever, it'll mark it for me, too, without doing anything. It was a bit controversial when first rolled out.

My only regret is not getting a OneWheel sooner. Been on the fence for 10 years, lol. Found this at the local landfill, thrown out because of a dead battery. Found a local shop that replaced it for $250 and had a great conversation about bitcoin with him, too. true, but it's been a discussion forever that messages on nostr don't work the same as other socials so an effort to build something that works has been underway. OxChat works well, IMO. Personally, haven't had an issue with messaging in Amethyst, are you on the latest release?
