Last month, four of my computers broke down.(One was my wife's)
I fixed two of them, but now I'm buying three more.
'I'm thinking about refurbishing a couple old computers and selling them on nostr.
They're just old.
- I had to upgrade Umbrel to a new OS.
- The RAM in my Optiplex running start 9 died.
- I had to replace the SSD in an 8 year old HP Desktop.
I meant more as in, I got paid in bitcoin and paid my bills on Bitrefill. It changed the way I think about spending bitcoin.
I also spent $50 a month using the Shift card, but I used it like blow money instead of generational wealth. That was a mistake.

I began using Embassy OS on an old computer that just failed about a week ago.(RAM).
I'll fix it, but I'm buying a new one anyway because I want to support the team. Matt also said it's a good idea to keep one in a seperate location to protect oneself from loss of data. He makes a good point.
Lol. There were a lot of fights in the early days, but NGU changes the conversation. Now I'm like I want to go 100% into bitcoin. She's like, how the hell will we buy the dip?
I run it myself now on an old OptiPlex, but want to upgrade my hardware. I might save a few bucks doing it myself, but I don't mibd supporting businesses on the bitcoin standard.
I start9 for about two years, but my RAM died so I either need to replace it or buy a new machine. I use this to run my full node and host my blog over TOR.
I use Umbrel for Home Assistant, Mealie, and Jellyfin(mostly non bitcoin related software, but I also use it for LNbits)
I run both because I like apps from each one. It's easier to run stuff over clearnet with cloudflare-tunnel on Umbrel, but Start9 is easier to manage.
Is there an easier way to host Start9 apps over clearnet?

Tell me about Daniel Batton's article on Bitcoin mining helping the environment
Unleashed
Daniel Batton's article titled "Bitcoin Mining: A Green Revolution?" discusses how Bitcoin mining could potentially contribute positively to the environment by utilizing excess renewable energy resources that would otherwise go unused. The article highlights that as more renewable energy sources come online, there will be periods when they produce more power than needed by consumers. In such cases, Bitcoin mining could serve as a useful way to consume this excess power without causing additional harm to the environment. By doing so, it could help reduce greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel-based power generation sources. However, it's essential to note that this perspective has been debated by other experts who argue that Bitcoin mining still consumes significant amounts of energy overall.
