I'm not sure. I don't normally mess with whole disk encryption, but I thought I would give it a try. It gave me a lot of problems when I would try to go from one install to the other and then one day it just wouldn't let me get back into pop_os. Thankfully, I didn't lose all that much of importance as it was a new install and all the import stuff were in other partitions.
