Russia's Ministry of Tech Deveopment has proposed a hard fork of the Linux Kernel after woke tech culture banned kernel developers for being Russian.
Ill just be the one who comments on the elephant in the room, and say I wouldnt be suprised if the Russian kernel takes on developers from BRICS nations, and becomes better.

Brian Lunduke asks the uncomfortable and crazy sounding question…
Is it possible the Internet Archive hacked themselves?

The Linux kernel project recently banned several key maintainers because they were Russian.
When other key maintainers protested this, they were also banned.

Mozilla, upon learning 80% of their funding might dry up within a year, held a “Feminist, LGBTQIA+, DeColonial, Climate Justice using AI” conference in an exclusive resort in Zambia.

Andrew Tamazos, long time, prolific contributor to C++ ISO, was banned when questions were raised about his use of the word ‘question’ in his paper, “The undefined behavior question”, referring to sometimes mysterious behavior in C++ code.
It was suggested that he was secretly referring to Carl Marx 1844 essay “The Jewish Question” and he was banned.
stop suggesting having 2 trillion more of something suddenly makes it less valuable. the U.S. dollar isn’t subject to math, and i already told you math is racist.
i accidentally fell asleep with Rothbard’s Anatomy of the State on repeat.
im in an interesting mood today😂
nobody to argue with at Thanksgiving dinner though, as i would just be preaching to the chior
if someone told you in 2010 that the $0.06 bitcoins you were playing with would be worth $100k inside of 15 years, you would have held more.
if someone told you 1 sat would be worth X inside of 15 years, you would have Y
you know…
for secure group chat between friends, don’t underestimate getting a cheap vps from 1984.is, adding everyones public ssh keys to authorized_keys and just using mail and irc on the server.
up before the sun, and most everyone else, warming food and water on the woodstove. listening to the sound of the stream, and the roosters starting to crow. listening for the still small voice…
truth be told, im weary of ideological purity maxis.
you know what im talking about? where someone has to agree with 100% of the maxi ideology to ever do or say anything right.
really, it seems like mental illness normalized by big tech algos.
yeah. i mean i agree with you. i hate that stuff. im just feeling a weariness with the general tribal lines thing. im hoping it peaks and goes the other way
i like cgi scriping. one site im working on uses awk to pass markdown to browser requests as html so i never have to write html again. i like simple stuff like that
i dont think people appreciate how hard it is to get a device which diverges from the big tech paradigm is. @daylightco is doing something larger than just making new e-ink devices. theyre cutting new a path through the jungle that others can follow.
im interested in the offgrid applications. power consumption of eink is lower, and with an android base, it means termux should run on it. which means ssh, vi, tmux, rsync, etc. which means with an external keyboard, it can become something much more than a reader.
this is the kind of personal website i love. its simple and weird. his thoughts on bee keeping, his page on his entirely statically linked linux distribution, and a self signed certificate. the real internet.
