Why wouldn't I work with her?
Despite all her claims of single-handedly taking down the Heritage Front and then turning her life around, I saw only a selfish, hateful person who has an entire lifetime of using people until they no longer serve a purpose — and then turning on them. (I suspect the same applies to #CarymaNgo, but I only have 2 years of data for that one.)
I'm old enough to remember the Heritage Front (HF). I lived on College Street across the street and one block east of Sneaky Dees through university. I remember what actually went down, not the talk show circuit version she's still peddling.
Much later, when the holocaust survivors group I volunteer with informed me that Hategan would be coming on board, I checked with friends ro find out whether I had perhaps missed the MAKING AMENDS portion of deradicalization.
I had not.

So when I was informed that I would now have the "opportunity" to VOLUNTEER MY TIME with this little gem who thinks she should dine out forever on her tale of taking down the Neo-Nazi group SHE CHOSE TO JOIN IN THE FIRST PLACE, I politely declined.
I also told them that I was declining to give a reason because of her litigious nature, but the great thing about volunteering is that when something comes along that's a deal-breaker, you can JUST STOP. 🛑
As a result of NOT working with her (and I cannot even imagine the nightmare that would have come from making the mistake of accepting her into my sphere):
1️⃣ She first asked BirdChanVerse if there might be a way to FORCE ME TO WORK WITH HER. I mean, sure, but that's called "slavery" and it's kinda illegal.
2️⃣ Then a few months later she asked #CarymaNgo whether my refusal to work with her and telling the org that I wouldn't get into WHY because "she's litigious" constitutes defamation.
3️⃣ Meanwhile, she'd apparently been stalking me online and saying who knows what to people, but I got a phone call from the head of the org, who is a personal friend, saying that he's worried that I was ❝selling psychedelic mushrooms online❞ 🤷🏾♀️ (they've been trying to use the anti-Black "substance abuse" strategy for some time now).
4️⃣ She broke the website that was working JUST FINE when I handed it off BEFORE she officially came on-board and expected me to fix it for free! (I ended up having to fix it, anyway, when she left.)
5️⃣ She's STILL using the organization’s branded twitter feed to push her personal vendetta against me for ... NOT wanting to have anything to do with her.

I'm not exactly left feeling like the advice "oh no, run screaming in the opposite direction of that person" was bad advice.
And I'm not exactly inclined to share any other advice with anyone who asks me.

Her reputation is an accurate reflection of her actions, not that she has ever taken an ounce of responsibility for a goddamned thing in her life.

On Friday the 22nd of September, anti-trans groups are marching on schools in Scarborough to intimidate students there. While planned by the fundamentalists of 😫Save Canada, and transphobic influencer 😫"Billboard" Chris, they are but part of a broader anti-trans push by major media outlets, as well as politicians like Pierre Poilievre, Doug Ford, Stephen Lecce, and 😫Maxime Bernier.
This past June, Save Canada and Billboard Chris brought hundreds of transphobic supporters from across Canada to march on schools in an Ottawa suburb. In response, community members rallied twice that number and blocked the bigots in.
➡️ With your help, we can do the same.
As multiply marginalized people, we know that community—not cops—is what keeps us safe.
➡️ From the everyday violence of the police against Black and Indigenous communities, to the brutal encampment clearings at Lamport and Trinity Bellwoods, to the monthly pre-pandemic anti-Islam rallies in Nathan Phillips Square, we see time and again how the police stand on the wrong side of history. We cannot rely on police to protect us from the growing far-right, which wants to legislate us out of existence in the seats of government and terrorize us in the streets.
That’s why we’re calling for all our kin, our friends, and our allies to show up at Wallingford and Cassandra on the morning of the 22nd.
We encourage community members to bring Pride flags, banners, and any supplies they can easily carry. Keep in mind, though, that the location is far from downtown, there is a possibility of a mobile defence, and you may have to leave anything too heavy behind in a hurry.
While we’re doing everything we can to minimize risks to all participants, the reality is that many of our opponents will show up looking to harm trans people and our friends. That means they may be physically aggressive, but also that they may film and try to identify (“dox”) our side to target for harassment online.
