@3967703f The most interesting interaction with a cashier who cared to comment on my purchasing was an older woman in a very British-settled, salt and pepper, rural area. I was stocking up on spices for our cottage, needed some cayenne pepper, she picked the container up, leaned over, and asked, "so what would you use this for, dear?"
@d762e03c @3967703f Right? Maybe the baking staff doesn't wash their hands. Maybe they tamper with the best before dates. Maybe they know something that YOU should know, and maybe you should ask loudly. 😄
