True one-in-a-million shot... A meteor and Milky Way galaxy in the same frame... https://image.nostr.build/56b28bf7f3796a1cf1e002a20236793716216f3f40367b95c2ed7e054bdedd98.jpg
Upon a rocky shore, where the sky often wore a blanket of grey, there sat Rabbit, dressed in the garb of yesteryears—a fine waistcoat and a monocle clutched in his paw. He gazed thoughtfully at the sea, his ears twitching as he pondered the mysteries of the vast expanse before him. Known among the coastal dwellers for his gentle demeanour and thoughtful musings, Rabbit spoke softly to the waves:

"Time, like the ocean before us, is vast and unending, yet each moment is a treasure to hold dearly, as delicate as the foam upon the sea."

A seagull, its wings kissed by the salt of the air, landed gracefully beside him, tilting its head in curiosity. "What wisdom do you seek in the dance of the tide, friend of the shore?" it asked.

Rabbit adjusted his monocle, his gaze steady on the horizon. "I seek the lessons that only the patience of the sand and the persistence of the water can teach us," he replied, his voice calm and sure.

As the tides shifted, more of the shore's inhabitants gathered, drawn to Rabbit’s quiet wisdom. He turned to them, his whiskers quivering as he continued. "For every trial we face, there is a strength to be gained, as the cliffs themselves are shaped and steadied by the battering of the waves."

The creatures of the shore listened intently, finding comfort in his words. Rabbit’s voice was steady and kind. "In the heart of the storm lies the promise of calm, and in the heart of each of us lies the courage to weather it."

As the sun broke through the clouds, casting a golden glow over the shore, Rabbit stood, his posture straight yet unassuming. With a final glance at the horizon, he offered his parting thought. "Cherish the journey, for the paths we hop, the leaps we dare to take, shape the landscapes of our souls."

With that, the creatures dispersed, carrying pieces of Rabbit’s serene wisdom in their hearts. They left the shore lighter in spirit, brighter in hope, and with a renewed belief that the morrow held promise.

"Perhaps the greatest tragedy of existence is that we are all destined to walk alone, even when we believe we have found someone to share the burden. There is an unbridgeable chasm between souls, a gap that no love, no friendship, no connection can ever truly cross. We are, by nature, solitary beings trapped in the illusion of togetherness, clinging to fleeting moments of closeness that eventually fade into the vast emptiness of our own minds." https://image.nostr.build/704b916ff8edbdfbe4cdf32599b2e6497fb7087e7f8602c3f6b0462b590ba80f.jpg
 What is success?
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate the beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded! ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

“I had observed that the men who were most in life, who were molding life, who were life itself, ate little, slept little, owned little or nothing. They had no illusions about duty... or the preservation of the State. They were interested in truth and in truth alone. They recognized only one kind of activity - creation.”

"Not all toxic people are cruel and uncaring. Some of them love us dearly. Many of them have good intentions. Most are toxic to our being simply because their needs and way of existing in the world force us to compromise ourselves and our happiness. They aren’t inherently bad people, but they aren’t the right people for us. And as hard as it is, we have to let them go. Life is hard enough without being around people who bring you down, and as much as you care, you can’t destroy yourself for the sake of someone else. You have to make your wellbeing a priority. Whether that means breaking up with someone you care about, loving a family member from a distance, letting go of a friend, or removing yourself from a situation that feels painful — you have every right to leave and create a safer space for yourself." - Daniell Koepke https://image.nostr.build/52a1cd989719a2f641c63b7550f356bc7590098f09725a0b497cf87a02bd45c6.jpg

This photo was taken in 1946. This girl is Susan.
She is 45 years old. Has 2 children.
Susan never exercises. Sleeps late.
Eats whatever she wants. Even drinks beer instead of water.

What does Susan do?
Susan has no secret.
Susan is the woman in the upper right corner of the photo...… https://image.nostr.build/872e306a7c4f6955f43fbc3e00e07d1b44f87c442c0e6bc6642e19987a47522b.jpg
Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with 7 men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac Man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies that always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! If you had this childhood and loved it, repost I thought this would bring a smile to your face lol it did mine!!! https://image.nostr.build/34ed2f5ae8be87f4f1e21828d0cfafde8047c9e3be5ce1c414aff23b04c18175.jpg
Meet the little coffee connoisseur! 🐾 This is the Asian palm civet, also known as the creature behind kopi luwak, one of the world’s most unique coffees. After eating the ripest coffee cherries, the civet’s digestive process gives the beans a distinct, rich flavor before they’re collected, cleaned, and roasted. ☕

In the wild, civets choose only the best cherries, adding a natural quality control to this rare and exotic coffee. https://image.nostr.build/9d88c65d6ba817f4b44712702dbe1b3e92ca549210fe2174a8cb786162ffe71f.jpg
You start dying slowly if you do not travel, if you do not read,
If you do not listen to the sounds of life, If you do not appreciate yourself.
You start dying slowly When you kill your self-esteem; When you do not let others help you. You start dying slowly If you become a slave of your habits, Walking everyday on the same paths... If you do not change your routine, If you do not wear different colours Or you do not speak to those you don't know. You start dying slowly If you avoid to feel passion And their turbulent emotions; Those which make your eyes glisten And your heart beat fast.
You start dying slowly If you do not change your life when you are not satisfied with your job, or with your love, If you do not risk what is safe for the uncertain, If you do not go after a dream, If you do not allow yourself, At least once in your lifetime, To run away from sensible advice...

"Sometimes when something happens, we think it shouldn't have happened that way. That's why we feel, when a loved one dies, when we lose a job, a friend, or suffer any kind of defeat, that everything has ended.
But it’s not true!

That's always the beginning…

Because greatness is achieved not when everything goes well, but when life tests you, when you stumble greatly, when you're disappointed, when sadness overcomes you. Only by being in the deepest part of the valley can one understand how magnificent it is to be at the top of a mountain."

“The philosopher, Noam Chomsky, has lost the ability to speak and write at 95 years old, forcing him to give up the “throne of speech”, in which he exposed the truth about human systems. I believe he is one of the most perceptive analysts and communicators on control and power, still alive in our human world.

In a symbolic way his loss of communication feels like marking the end of true perception about our world. In an Orwellian future the masses are increasingly bound by algorithms that only reinforce existing patterns of bias.

A world where influencers without training or substance are more valued than philosophers and great critical thinkers.

Studies suggest that our critical thinking as a generation is declining in comparison to that of past generations.

“Social media algorithms create echo chambers where diverse perspectives are rarely encountered, reinforcing confirmation bias and hindering the ability to think critically about different viewpoints.”

A world we where we move further into the dream, a dream within the dream....where there seems to be no objective truth.”

Chomsky said:
“I think it only makes sense to seek out and identify structures of authority, hierarchy, and domination in every aspect of life, and to challenge them; unless a justification for them can be given, they are illegitimate, and should be dismantled, to increase the scope of human freedom.” I https://image.nostr.build/80c024e56d4ca7a3794a65570b313dc2310953bfda98b17559eaf55bf3a611f6.jpg
Did you know that the man behind the iconic Smiling Face logo, now worth millions, received only a small sum for the original design? In 1963, Harvey Ross Ball was hired by an insurance company to create an icon that would lift employee morale. In just 10 minutes, he designed a simple yellow face with a broad smile and dimples.

"I made a circle with a smile like a face on yellow paper because it was sunny and bright," the Worcester graphic designer later told the Associated Press. The company used the design on signs and buttons for employees, and it was an instant success, eventually spreading beyond the office.

However, neither Ball nor the insurance company registered the logo as a trademark. Years later, a French journalist named Franklin Loufrani officially registered it, calling it "Smiley" and creating a business around it, granting licenses to other companies.

Today, Smiley generates hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue annually, with brands like Zara and Fendi paying to feature the iconic smile on their products. Ball, however, never shared in the enormous profits that the logo eventually generated.

Electric car from 1910. The Detroit Model D could travel 340 km at a maximum speed of 32 km/h, a normal speed for the time.

It had a rechargeable lead-acid battery.

The Anderson company built 13,000 electric cars between 1907 and 1939

The Detroit Electric was sold primarily to drivers and doctors who wanted reliable, immediate starting without the laborious manual crank starting required with early internal combustion engine cars.

A subtle example of this car's design refinement was the first use of a curved window glass in a production car, a feature that was expensive and complex to manufacture.

A car that may have been the harbinger of a different future, but was displaced by gasoline cars. https://image.nostr.build/acced724e44d281eec7542abb3dcd933c6d6460067ff87bd59255926131f2954.jpg
 READ THIS IT'S BEAUTIFUL 💗
The fate of a mother is to wait for her children. You wait for them when you’re pregnant. You wait on them when they get out of school. You wait on for them to get home after a night out. You wait on them when they start their own lives. You wait for them when they get home from work to come home to a nice dinner. You wait for them with love, with anxiety and sometimes with anger that passes immediately when you see them and you can hug them.
Make sure your old mom doesn't have to wait any longer. Visit her, love her, hug the one who loved you like no one else ever will. Don't make her wait, she's expecting this from you.
Because the membranes get old but the heart of a mother never gets old. Love her as you can. No person will love you like your mother will. ♥️ https://image.nostr.build/c2187f8495016e7962416a21af40ebf85db6fb374616e5cf390920883de75cd0.jpg

Sometimes, you don't talk about how you feel because you know it will start an argument. So you just stay quiet and let whatever you're feeling tear you apart. You pretend everything is fine, put on a smile, and go about your life like everything is alright. Because you don't have the acceptance or space to open up and really talk about what's bothering you. That is not a healthy place to be. And that is not the right person to be with. https://image.nostr.build/80816a64b9e8fb33ee0dd74dd95aa5cb174822861d89d1bba4fa88c6f1012fd6.jpg

James Cromwell, who played the farmer in the film A Piggy Named Babe, decided to become vegan after filming. The actor, who is also an honorary member of PETA's board of directors, explains that during filming he had the opportunity to observe the intelligence and curious personality of the pigs. This inspired him to work for a better life for these animals. "All pigs should have the opportunity to live in a protected area," he says, "where they can decide for themselves when they want to play, look for food and enjoy their time in their own way." https://image.nostr.build/2ea0599fa4ac5adabf48d1898c6d547a5d22a5e081466ebf74b7190bf5689de1.jpg
I told you I was struggling,
Showed you the cracks beneath the surface,
But instead of helping me heal,
You poured salt into the wounds.

You saw my weaknesses and turned them into weapons,
Each word you spoke cut deeper,
And as I stood on the edge, barely holding on,
You gave me one more push.

It’s like you enjoyed watching me crumble,
Like seeing me lost gave you power.
You knew exactly where to strike,
Playing my mind like a game you couldn’t lose.

I wanted to be strong for you,
Wanted to be the one you could count on,
But you kept tearing me down,
Piece by piece, until nothing was left.

Now I sit here, broken and empty,
And somehow, I’m the one to blame.
You’ll say I was too distant, too cold,
That I couldn’t open up, couldn’t be enough.

And while you paint yourself as the victim,
The world will listen to your story,
But no one will see the quiet destruction
You left behind in me.

In the 1930s, the Michigan Mechanical Company proposed building a large train that walked on four legs, covering long distances at a speed of approximately 20 miles per hour. However, the project failed as each trial revealed that the giant train would stumble and fall with the passengers on board. https://image.nostr.build/2736aab0e5c8f47e6ac513ef41b9687447d7ceba7d6ab5f75c0a462b33ed3f54.jpg
The thing is, your dog knows when you’re sad, even when you try to hide it. They sense it in the way you move, in the quiet moments when your energy shifts. You don’t have to say a word; they pick up on it like it’s second nature. And when they know, they don’t ask questions, don’t push you to explain. They just come closer, sit beside you, and offer their presence.

It’s not about fixing anything, they know they can’t.
It’s about letting you know you’re not alone, that in their simple, unwavering way, they’re there for you.
Whether it’s resting their head on your lap or just sitting in the same room, your dog is tuned in to the things you think you’re keeping to yourself.
They know, and they stay, without expecting anything in return. It’s their way of loving you when you don’t have the words.

 “It’s when the earth shakes
And foundations crumble
That our light is called
To rise up.
It’s when everything falls away
And shakes us to the core
And awakens all
Of our hidden ghosts
That we dig deeper to find
Once inaccessible strength.
It’s in times when division is fierce
That we must reach for each other
And hold each other much
Much tighter.
Do not fall away now.
This is the time to rise.
Your light is being summoned.
Your integrity is being tested
That it may stand more tall.
Rise, and find the strength in your heart.
Rise, and find the strength in each other
Burn through your devastation,
Make it your fuel.
Bring forth your light.
Now is not the time
To be afraid of the dark.”

A crocodile with hundreds of its babies is the wildest photo of the year. The spectacular image of this crocodile, with its babies posing on it, has been captured by wildlife photographer Dhritiman Mukherjee, who has been awarded the 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year' by the National History Museum in London.

This species of crocodile (freshwater gharial) is critically endangered. Where once there were more than 20,000 specimens in South Asia, the species has now been reduced to fewer than 1,000 adult animals, and three-quarters of these are concentrated in the sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh. Dhritiman says that although most crocodiles carry their babies in their mouths, the unusual shape of the gharial's snout makes this impossible. "So the babies have to hold on to the head and back to get that close connection and protection." https://image.nostr.build/c2104c4a3d5c5ca7abaf21cc7d84c2985f8ad1f2fc592fa8757d10c6c7526a3b.jpg
The brazen bull was a horrifying invention designed to make death itself a spectacle. Created by Perilaus of Athens for the brutal tyrant Phalaris of Akragas in ancient Sicily, this bronze torture device was hollow and shaped like a bull, with an acoustic system that transformed the victim’s screams into bull-like roars. Perilaus hoped this morbid invention would win him Phalaris’s favor, but the tyrant had other plans, ordering Perilaus to demonstrate its effects by testing it on him. In a dark twist, the creator of this nightmarish device became its first victim.

The purpose of the bull was not merely to execute but to terrify, as it could roast victims alive while their distorted screams echoed for onlookers. It served as a symbol of Phalaris’s absolute power, a demonstration of the extreme consequences awaiting anyone who dared to oppose his rule. Phalaris’s cruelty and use of the bull eventually led to a rebellion by his people, sickened by the tyrant’s merciless rule. When they finally overthrew him, legends suggest he met his end in the very bull he had commissioned, a fittingly ironic fate.

The device, though rarely if ever widely used, became infamous as a cautionary symbol of cruelty and oppression. Early Christian martyrologies claimed that Roman persecutors used similar methods against Christians, feeding into its reputation as one of history’s most gruesome instruments of punishment. Saints like Eustace and Antipas were said to have perished in variations of the brazen bull, lending a grim resonance to its legend as a tool of martyrdom.

Perilaus’s ambition, ironically, backfired. His invention, instead of bringing him power and favor, brought him death. The brazen bull became a dark emblem of the risks involved in courting the favor of a tyrant, a reminder of how quickly the pursuit of power and invention can turn fatal.

Today, while no brazen bull survives, it endures in stories and cultural memory as a symbol of the terrifying lengths to which human ingenuity can go when twisted by cruelty—and how sometimes, in history’s darker tales, even the inventors of nightmares get burned.

I wasted a good chunk of my life not living it because I had to consider other people. How they feel, how I look to them, how the things that I do can possibly affect them. I missed out on a lot of things because I had to consider what others would think. Then life rained on me and when I looked around, I was alone. I missed the train and there was no one to accompany me as I tried to find my way home.
It's funny how in a world of billions, in a way, you're really all that you got.
Don't live your life for other people. Do things that you've always wanted and forget the second thoughts. Live for the nights you'll fall asleep with a smile on your face, reliving the events of the day; dress up so you'd impress yourself when you look at the mirror. Gamble for the moments you think would turn into great memories.
One day, you'd look back and thank yourself for the risks you took, for the lessons learned, for the adventures.

Instead of saying, "I know what it feels like", let's say "I cannot imagine your heartbreak".

Instead of saying, "You're strong, you'll get through this, let's say " You'll hurt, and I'll be here.

Instead of saying, "You look like you're doing well, Let's say, "How are you holding up today?"

Instead of saying, "Healing takes time", let's say "Healing has no timeline".

Instead of saying, "Everything happens for a reason, let's say "This must feel so terribly senseless right now".

And when there are no words to say at all, you don't need to try and find some. Love speaks in silences too.

"My philosophy is: What people say about me is none of my business.
I am who I am and do what I do.
I expect nothing and accept everything.
And that makes life easier.--
We live in a world where funerals are more important than the deceased, marriage is more important than love, looks are more important than the soul.
We live in a packaging culture that despises content."

If there’s one thing we all need to stop doing, it’s waiting around for someone else to show up and change our lives. Just be the person you’ve been waiting for. Live your life as if you are the love of it. Because that’s the only thing you know for sure – that through every triumph, every failure, every fear and every gain that you will ever experience until the day you die, you are going to be present. You are going to be the person who shows up to accept your rewards. You are going to be the person who holds your own hand when you’re broken.
You are going to be the person who gets yourself up off the floor every time you get knocked down and if those things are not love-of-your-life qualities, I don’t know what are. ~Heidi Priebe

“And I could never understand why you were insensitive to the sorrow and shame you inflicted on me with your words and judgements it was as if you didn't sense your own power. And I certainly made you ill with words; but I knew what I was doing, though it hurt me, but I couldn't control myself. I couldn't hold back my words though I regretted them. But you landed blows with your words and you were clueless - you never pitied anybody, not then, not later - and people were defenceless before you.”

The heaviest burdens are often carried by those who make it look effortless - remember to see beyond their smile. They're the ones who have mastered the art of dancing with their shadows, of breathing through storms while making it look like a gentle breeze. Their strength isn't in the absence of struggle, but in their grace under pressure, their ability to keep moving forward when standing still would be easier.

Look closer at those quiet warriors - the ones who lift others while carrying their own mountains, who offer light while navigating their own darkness. Their smiles aren't masks of deception, but badges of resilience. Their laughter doesn't deny their pain; it defies it.

So next time you see someone making the impossible look easy, remember: beneath that peaceful surface often runs the deepest current. Sometimes the strongest hearts are the ones that have been mended countless times, and the brightest spirits are those who've learned to shine through their scars.

Every year in Christmas lsland, millions of red crabs migrate from the forests to the ocean to breed, but in the middle of their path are roads and highways
🦀🦀🦀
To protect and preserve the life of the crustaceans, tunnels have been built around the island so that they can pass under the roads and special bridges were constructed which they use to cross the highways, thus ensuring the crabs reach their destination safely. https://image.nostr.build/bdf3c950cb20f230ff95d52d25b32e7eebd50ea2063e8d6b4eef6e0c9eba7228.jpg
“She’s in between worlds right now.
A part of her is leaving.
But it’s not like before.
She’s holding space this time.
Not sweating it, but breathing beyond her skin.
She’s good.
She’s even shape-shifting.
The raven.
The owl.
She’s unafraid of the bird’s-eye view.
And unlike all those other times, she isn’t scared of the unknown.
She’s present and neither timid nor bold.
It feels beautiful like the song of a blackbird.
And powerful like the rumble of an avalanche.”

A fisherman who was fishing east of the Farallon Islands (just outside of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California) spotted a whale who was fully entangled and bound in a fishing net. The fisherman radioed for help and within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that the whale was so badly tangled that the only way to save her was to dive in, cut the ropes and untangle her…. a very dangerous proposition as one slap of the tail could kill a rescuer. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.
When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, thanking them. Some said that it was the most incredibly beautiful experience they had ever had.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the entire time and he will never be the same.
May you be so fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude. 🐳 https://image.nostr.build/02e80ecac80224aff7bc7bc491b5200b8248c69508f5303f3ccb4fc7d01c66aa.jpg
"We Indians know about silence. We are not afraid of it. In fact, for us, silence is more powerful than words. Our elders were trained in the ways of silence, and they handed over this knowledge to us. Observe, listen, and then act, they would tell us. That was the manner of living.
With you, it is just the opposite. You learn by talking. You reward the children that talk the most at school. In your parties, you all try to talk at the same time. In your work, you are always having meetings in which everybody interrupts everybody and all talk five, ten or a hundred times. And you call that ‘solving a problem’. When you are in a room and there is silence, you get nervous. You must fill the space with sounds. So you talk compulsorily, even before you know what you are going to say.
White people love to discuss. They don’t even allow the other person to finish a sentence. They always interrupt. For us Indians, this looks like bad manners or even stupidity. If you start talking, I’m not going to interrupt you. I will listen. Maybe I’ll stop listening if I don’t like what you are saying, but I won’t interrupt you.
When you finish speaking, I’ll make up my mind about what you said, but I will not tell you I don’t agree unless it is important. Otherwise, I’ll just keep quiet and I’ll go away. You have told me all I need to know. There is no more to be said. But this is not enough for the majority of white people.
People should regard their words as seeds. They should sow them, and then allow them to grow in silence. Our elders taught us that the earth is always talking to us, but we should keep silent in order to hear her.
There are many voices besides ours. Many voices…”

Children from a very young age should be taught that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
That if you point your right hand to the East, your face will face North and your back will face South.
That the direction of the water in a river often runs towards the sea.
That the Moon rises in the East and sets in the West, that if there is no moon there is a star that indicates the north and your latitude.
That the more to the horizon you see the Polar Star, the closer you are to the Equator, if you see a bird in the middle of the sea it is because there is land in the vicinity of where it flies.
Respect and love for animals, trees, the earth, and the elements that give us life.
Teach them all this before giving them a cell phone because the cell phone runs out and the signal is lost... wisdom is never lost.
Let's not let them lose connection.

The American philosopher and professor, Noam Chomsky, loses the ability to speak and write at 95 years old, this forces him to give up the throne of speech, in which he exposed the truth about global systems some of his most famous sayings: -

- There is no such thing as a poor country. There's only one failed system in resource management!

- No one will put the truth in your mind, it's something you have to discover for yourself

- If you want to conquer a people, create an imaginary enemy who seems more dangerous than you, then be their. savior.

One of the clearest lessons in history;
- "Rights are not granted, they are taken by force."

There is a purpose in distorting history and making it seem like great men did it all. It's part of how you teach people who can't do anything, that they are powerless. and they should just wait for a great man to do it.

- The world is a very mysterious and confusing place, if you are not willing to get confused, you become a replica of someone else's mind

- So you can control people. Make him believe that he is the reason for his delay and that you are coming to save him. ”

- The world or the West will regret its trivial ideas that divert a person from his humanity or his nature. They must know the right religion. and the right belief. https://image.nostr.build/15ded28ace3f846ad8d8f5688ed1a866d3685559bfdb430314e12b040891cfab.jpg
"And in the end, I believe that we don't need to do anything to be loved.

We spend our lives trying to seem prettier, smarter.

But I realized two things.
Those who love us see us with their hearts and attribute qualities to us beyond those we really have.

And those who don't want to love us will never be satisfied with all our efforts.

Yes, I really believe that it is important to leave our imperfections alone.
They are precious to understand those who see us with the heart. "🥀🌷

The hardest lesson I’ve ever faced as an adult is the relentless need to survive, no matter how broken I feel inside.

It doesn’t matter if my heart aches, if I’m mourning the loss of a loved one, or if I’m too tired to get out of bed.

Life doesn’t wait for me to take a breath.

It keeps moving forward, indifferent to my pain, and I have no choice but to push through it, even when every part of me is screaming for a break.

But what’s harder is realizing that nothing really prepares you for this. We grow up believing in the comfort of happy endings, only to be confronted with the harsh reality that survival often means pretending you’re okay when you’re not.

And maybe that’s the hard part—not just surviving, but doing it silently, without letting the weight of it show. But through it all, we find a strength we never knew we had, because even though it’s hard, we keep moving.

 In her own words;
Judi Dench
"Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, as they won’t last the journey.
Your sense of humor though, will only get better with age.
Your intuition will grow and expand like a majestic cloak of wisdom.
Your ability to choose your battles, will be fine-tuned to perfection.
Your capacity for stillness, for living in the moment, will blossom.
Your desire to live each and every moment will transcend all other wants.
Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall.
Don’t prioritise your looks my friend,
they will change forevermore, that pursuit is one of much sadness and disappointment.
Prioritise the uniqueness that make you you, and the invisible magnet that draws in other like-minded souls to dance in your orbit.
These are the things that will only get better." https://image.nostr.build/2ef1529110e93f15fd7ff74897db6796a474012fc4455ef49431f5e79112e399.jpg
When your dog is your soulmate, it feels like they’ve seen the depths of who you are and decided to love you anyway, flaws and all. There’s no pretense with them. They don’t care if you’ve had a bad day, if you’re broken, or if you’re lost. They just stay. Not because they have to, but because, for some reason, their soul fits with yours in a way that makes everything feel a little lighter.

It’s not about them reading your mind or sensing your moods like it’s some magical connection. It’s more raw than that. It’s in the moments where you feel like you’ve got nothing left to give, and yet, somehow, they bring out the part of you that still cares. It’s in their eyes, how they look at you like you’re the only thing that matters. There’s no pretending with them—no need to put up walls or hold back emotions. With them, you’re exactly who you are, and that’s enough.

And it’s more than just love—it’s the way they make you see yourself differently, the way they pull you out of places you didn’t even know you were stuck in. The bond is stronger than anything life throws at you because it’s rooted in something so simple and pure. They don’t just support you—they remind you, in the most basic, honest way, that you’re worth being loved. And when the world feels cold or distant, they’re the one soul you can count on, no matter what.

 It’s when the earth shakes
And foundations crumble
That our light is called
To rise up.

It’s when everything falls away
And shakes us to the core
And awakens all
Of our hidden ghosts
That we dig deeper to find
Once inaccessible strength.

It’s in times when division is fierce
That we must reach for each other
And hold each other much
Much tighter.

Do not fall away now.
This is the time to rise.
Your light is being summoned.
Your integrity is being tested
That it may stand more tall.

When everything collapses
We must find within us
That which is indomitable.

Rise, and find the strength in your heart.
Rise, and find the strength in each other

Burn through your devastation,
Make it your fuel.

Bring forth your light.
Now is not the time
To be afraid of the dark.

I wrote this poem a couple years ago to keep myself from falling off the edge. I need these words today more than ever.

                              *****

oh my troubled lovely,
oh my weeping daisy,
oh my fading candle,
oh my broken beauty,
oh my crumbling stronghold,

stay with us
here on Earth

don’t rapture yourself;
~ we need you - we need you
- we need you - we need you

before you decide to leave,

sit with me here in your unmade self
at the edge of your unmade bed

and listen to me
tell you one last secret

oh my tearful songbird,

if you can find
a way to
survive long

enough

someday you’ll become
the answer to somebody
else’s most desperate prayer

by just being there in
the same room that they are in
~ as they gently fall apart

and in that moment
you won’t need to say anything

you’ll just need drape your hands
over theirs like a Good Friday altar cloth
until they believe in resurrection again

~ that’s why you can’t give up

your life will someday be the rainbow
at the end of someone else’s storm

if you aren’t still here
when they fall off
the bridge

then who will be there to catch them?

I know it’s not quite fair
~ but your life isn’t just yours

it also belongs to that person
who is going to need you
to be alive later

you are part of the community
of unintended angels

who has a sacred calling

of surviving your darkest night
so someday you can be the
sunrise for somebody else who
will need you to prove to them
that daybreak always returns

oh my clouding diamond,
oh my shaking sunflower,
oh my doubting saint,
oh my disappearing moon,
oh my quieting symphony

stay here
with us
on Earth

because if you do

you will save a dozen lives
by first saving your own

it’s the great pyramid scheme
of hope

you must persist
so they can watch how you persist

turn this riptide you
are drowning under

into a ripple
of hope
that stretches
through time

that you can ride until
you reach that one moment
in your life where you’ll find yourself
in a quiet room with somebody
who wants to become a shadow

and you’ll be able to say to them
with authority the same thing
I am saying to you right now:

“oh my troubled lovely,
oh my weeping daisy,
oh my fading candle,
oh my broken beauty,
oh my crumbling stronghold

stay with us
here on Earth

don’t rapture yourself
we need you...”

Once there was a young warrior. Her teacher told her that she had to do battle with fear. She didn’t want to do that. It seemed too aggressive; it was scary; it seemed unfriendly. But the teacher said she had to do it and gave her the instructions for the battle. The day arrived. The student warrior stood on one side, and fear stood on the other. The warrior was feeling very small, and fear was looking big and wrathful. They both had their weapons. The young warrior roused herself and went toward fear, prostrated three times, and asked, "May I have permission to go into battle with you?" Fear said, "Thank you for showing me so much respect that you ask permission." Then the young warrior said, "How can I defeat you?" Fear replied, "My weapons are that I talk fast, and I get very close to your face. Then you get completely unnerved, and you do whatever I say. If you don’t do what I tell you, I have no power. You can listen to me, and you can have respect for me. You can even be convinced by me. But if you don’t do what I say, I have no power." In that way, the student warrior learned how to defeat fear. ~Pema Chödrön https://image.nostr.build/aeeb12807e5f896e02dceedbb235d4a37537ffd7e0502eee4d5e25777a3ce09d.jpg
 👵Written by a 90 year old!!❤️
🤙42 lessons life taught me 💖
It is something we should all read at least once a week! Make sure you read to the end!
Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio.
"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 42 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short – enjoy it..
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. Save for retirement starting with your first pay check.
9. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
11. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
12. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
13. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it...
14 Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
15. Get rid of anything that isn't useful. Clutter weighs you down in many ways.
16. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
17. It's never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no one else.
18. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
19. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
20. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
21. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.💖
22. The most important sex organ is the brain.
23. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
24. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'
25. Always choose life.
26. Forgive but don’t forget.
27. What other people think of you is none of your business.
28. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
30. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does..
31. Believe in miracles.
32. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
33. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
34. Your children get only one childhood.
35. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
36. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere. (I love this one)
37. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
38. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have not what you need.
39. The best is yet to come...
40. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
41. Yield.
42. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift. https://image.nostr.build/2b08beed6b1022b3550d6de73cfd2df64335f25f42c3385ece8cbf0d0d9ddf17.jpg
"Hiroyuki Sanada once said, 'There are those who want a swimming pool in the house, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a deep sense of loss, while others who hold them close often complain about them. Those who do not have a partner yearn for him, but those who have, sometimes do not value him. The hungry would give anything for a plate of food, while the well-fed complains about the taste. The one who doesn't have a car dreams, while the one who has one is always looking for a better one. The key is to be grateful, look carefully at what we have and understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what you already have and don't appreciate.” https://image.nostr.build/61f0cbbed979155b7874b52fbe12521d37578ed098af5e3e08a72f70e81dee10.jpg
In 1973, a man wrote to E.B. White, lamenting that he had lost faith in humanity.

The author was not only a masterful letter writer but also a professional celebrator of the human condition and an unflinching proponent of the writer’s duty to uplift people, so he took it upon himself to boost the man’s sunken heart with a short but infinitely beautiful reply.

It feels right for today:

Dear Mr. Nadeau:

As long as there is one upright man, as long as there is one compassionate woman, the contagion may spread and the scene is not desolate. Hope is the thing that is left to us in a bad time. I shall get up Sunday morning and wind the clock, as a contribution to order and steadfastness.

Sailors have an expression about the weather: they say, the weather is a great bluffer. I guess the same is true of our human society — things can look dark, then a break shows in the clouds, and all is changed, sometimes rather suddenly. It is quite obvious that the human race has made a queer mess of life on this planet. But as a people we probably harbor seeds of goodness that have lain for a long time waiting to sprout when the conditions are right. Man’s curiosity, his relentlessness, his inventiveness, his ingenuity have led him into deep trouble. We can only hope that these same traits will enable him to claw his way out.

Hang on to your hat. Hang on to your hope. And wind the clock, for tomorrow is another day.

Sincerely,

E. B. White https://image.nostr.build/c92dbeac5ea0d125ea69d45c23f77f3758918352460120165e322f457813b887.jpg
This stone was found on a beach on the south coast of Sussex, England in 2015.
This is the fossil of a relatively large fairy. It is a full skeleton, with some petrified bone-like traces and the iridescence from the creature’s wings still visibly preserved in the matrix. https://image.nostr.build/1bcee34f71434a44c99722665310d96effc29a742e9903c20d21dae94331759d.jpg
"I see you. The ones who can't sleep at night because our soul doesn't know peace. The ones who look for the beauty in darkness because it's all we have. The ones who love the wolves, instead of fearing them. The ones who play the same sad songs over and over, to feel every ounce of our emotions. The ones who wake up each day and place a smile on our face for the sake of others, so no one worries about you.
I see you, the ones who struggle to wake up and fight each day. The ones who have more bad days than good under their belt. I see you still getting up and trying, even if every ounce of you internally wants to quit. I see you, fantasizing over the fairy tale, even if life has given you the exact opposite. I see you never losing hope. The hopeless romantics, the empaths, the fighters.
I see you, and you are beautiful because you never give up. You're beautiful because you allow yourself to feel the highs and the lows, and accept that life comes with both.
I see you, but it's time for you to see yourself, the way the rest of us see you. You are more than enough, and your depths do not make you hard to love. They make you even more worthy of love. And it all starts with the love you give yourself.
I see you, the world hasn't been kind to you.. but I will. I see you, because in you, I see me. And I want you to know that you are not alone." https://image.nostr.build/807ba188986216304d8d7e98fdf01643b6dba16f08c583ddceb5e8abcd500963.jpg
When Parents die 💔, nothing is the same anymore. We can no longer be children, we will no longer feel carried away by their hugs, kisses and words of encouragement. It seems like life is getting harder because their protective love is no longer there.
When parents are no longer with us, we are orphans and that is hard regardless of age. Even though you created your family, the face of your parents is ingrained in you for eternity.
All people, even if we are adults, have this living child inside us who wants to be protected all the time by his parents. Turning to their unconditional love whenever necessary, but when they are gone, that option is no longer possible...!!! 😭

"Remember those times when you needed affection and support, but instead, you were met with distance and detachment. It's important to keep in mind how people respond to your needs, especially during challenging moments. This memory can be a guide in understanding who truly cares for you and who may not be as supportive as you need them to be."

“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up.

This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.”

“Survivors do not mourn together. They each mourn alone, even when in the same place. Grief is the most solitary of all feelings. Grief isolates, and every ritual, every gesture, every embrace, is a hopeless effort to break through that isolation.None of it works. The forms crumble and dissolve. To face death is to stand alone.”

 Living in the System (Matrix)
A student with a 3.8 CGPA feels dissatisfied because another student achieved a perfect 4.0 CGPA.

Meanwhile, the student with a 4.0 CGPA is unhappy because they haven't secured a job at a core company.

The student who did get a core company placement feels frustrated because a colleague earns a higher salary.

Yet, even the person earning the highest salary in the company is discontent, lacking the time to enjoy life with friends and family.

This constant cycle of comparison traps you in an endless rat race, where contentment is always just out of reach. True happiness becomes elusive when you fail to appreciate what you have.

Break free from the rat race and find fulfillment by practicing gratitude and living life on your own terms.

And I want you to know that you are not alone."

I like drinking coffee alone and reading alone. I like riding the bus alone and walking home alone. It gives me time to think and set my mind free. I like eating alone and listening to music alone. But when i see a mother with her child, a girl with her lover, or a friend laughing with their best friend, I realize that even though i like being alone, i don’t fancy being lonely. But by how you taught me to heal
Not by how you left me
But by how you taught me to never abandon myself
Not by how you broke me
But by how you taught me to rebuild myself
Not by how you dimmed my light
But by how you helped me to shine
Not by how you kept me trapped in a place of comfort
But by how you empowered me to leave my comfort zone
Not by how you left me feeling weak
But by how you taught me what it means to be strong
Not by how you tried to control me
But by how you taught me to be free
Not by who you told me who I was

“On September 10, 1957, photographer William C. Beall from the Washington Daily News was assigned to capture a parade organized by the Chinese Merchants Association. While his focus was on the procession, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a young child captivated by the performance of the Chinese lion dance. The little one ventured off the sidewalk to get a closer look, only to be intercepted by a tall and kind-hearted police officer who patiently explained that it was not safe to cross the street in the midst of the parade.

"Suddenly, I saw the picture, I aimed my camera, and I clicked."

The resulting photograph captured a moment of childlike innocence and wonder, earning William C. Beall the prestigious Pulitzer Prize in 1958.

It beautifully portrays the essence of a child's curiosity and encapsulates a sense of awe, forever etched in the annals of photography history.” https://image.nostr.build/06647f2149747a28535a1c4f0412ca6d4d630956dfbbfbbec10e043b9e511531.jpg
"When you start to know someone, all their physical characteristics start to disappear. You begin to dwell in their energy, recognize the scent of their skin. You see only the essence of the person, not the shell. That's why you can't fall in love with beauty. You can lust after it, be infatuated by it, want to own it. You can love it with your eyes and your body but not your heart. And that's why, when you really connect with a person's inner self, any physical imperfections disappear, become irrelevant."

“The most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said, and never explained. It’s the sudden silence, the unspoken words, the unanswered questions that haunt you at night. You lie awake, your mind replaying every moment, every word, every touch, searching for the reason why. But there is no answer, just an emptiness that stretches into eternity. It’s the pain of not knowing, of not understanding, of being left in the dark with only your own thoughts to keep you company. And in that darkness, you slowly come to realize that you may never know why, and that is perhaps the hardest truth of all.”

In 1926, Agatha Christie faced a personal crisis. At thirty-five, she was devastated by the death of her mother and the revelation that her husband, Archie, was leaving her for another woman. This double blow led Agatha into a deep depression, where she felt that life had lost its joy. The only light in her life was her seven-year-old daughter, Rosalind.
Agatha Miller was a gifted writer from a young age. Born in 1890 to a wealthy family, she learned to read by age four. She married Archie Christie, a charming pilot, on Christmas Eve in 1914. They endured the challenges of World War I and welcomed Rosalind in 1919. By the time her marriage began to fall apart, Agatha had already published five successful detective novels.
As Agatha began to recover from her marital troubles, she found comfort in writing and sought new adventures. A journey on the Orient Express lifted her spirits, but it was an archaeological dig in Iraq in 1930 that changed her life. There, she met Max Mallowan, a younger archaeologist. Their romance flourished, leading to marriage later that year and a happy partnership until Agatha's death.
The year 1926, which seemed like the end for Agatha Christie, turned out to be just the beginning of her remarkable career. In the following decades, she became one of the most successful authors in history, with over 70 best-selling novels and the longest-running play ever. Her second marriage brought her joy, and both she and Max received honors for their achievements—Max was knighted in 1968, and Agatha became a Dame of the British Empire in 1971.
Agatha Christie passed away on January 12, 1976, at 85 years old. With more than two billion copies sold, she remains the best-selling novelist ever, her legacy reflecting her resilience and literary genius.

Climate Entrepreneurship Series [Part 6, final]
__Stop! Think! Act on this!

When passing through London, a friend who is an African leader asked me to have a meal with him. “What advice can you give to transform my rural areas and create millions of jobs?” he asked.

I smiled. “Mini-grids," I began. "Why not authorise entrepreneurs to build mini-grids as a business for every growth point with more than 5,000 people?"

As I knew he him to have vision and heart to transform the lives of people in his country, I continued: "When it comes to small towns, allow them to build independent power grids (macro-grids up to 100MW). If you do that, magic will happen right before your eyes! Small businesses will erupt.”

I won’t tell you who the leader was; it’s not important. What matters is the message I shared with him and would share with anyone interested in asking me.

The fact is: mini-grids and macro-grids are coming to Africa in a big way; a mini-grid will likely power every settlement with more than 5,000 people within 10 years. How fast depends on the drive of entrepreneurs like you in each country. It will be just like the mobile telephone sector in which entrepreneurs like me pushed to replace the national telecoms companies. It will happen with power as well.

It is happening fast already in places like South Africa, Nigeria, and Zambia. My hope is that the policy enabling environment in each country will ensure entrepreneurs can drive this more than the traditional power companies.

Once a mini-grid or macro-grid [these are the bigger ones for small towns] is installed in an area, the opportunities like those in Ravi’s compendium that I have been raving about become more possible.

What does this mean for you as an entrepreneur?

Firstly, you can consider going into the power business as you build a solar mini-grid. Then you [and other entrepreneurs] can expand from there if you see ways to reach out and meet human needs with other innovations and related businesses! Or you can begin planning now to take your town-based business to the rural areas.

Whatever stage you are in, now is the time to expand your #Knowledge and #SkillUp on this. It is HUGE! Please read up on it. Hundreds of millions of people on our continent still do not have access to power and this must change. As #Entrepreneurs... look at this image. You can be part of the solution. What do you SEE? I know what I see!

Another opportunity is the roll out of Electric Vehicles. The two go hand in hand. Within 20 years 90% of all cars in Africa will be electric!

You don’t need to be a prophet to see this is going to happen. You just have to be a smart, knowledgeable entrepreneur who knows how to watch global trends and take advantage of them.

Image credit: What can YOU build and grow with the magnificent power of the sun? https://image.nostr.build/28f9fe7dc791e191b61bb9ffb29f71414e1e26b739b106d56bd0dc25e9507db4.jpg
When I am gone, do not fear my memory.
Do not be afraid to speak my name or look through old photographs.
Do not be scared to play old videos so that you might hear my voice and see me laughing.
Do not be wary of visiting my favourite places or eating my favourite foods or singing along to my favourite songs.
I know it will hurt. Those memories will remind you that I am gone.
They will stab at you like a knife in an open, gaping wound. Raw, excruciating pain.
But after a while the knife will become less sharp, the wound will become less open and the pain will become less raw.
And those memories will remind you that I was here.
That I lived.
Do not reduce my life to my death.
Speak my name, hear my voice, sing my favourite songs and visit my favourite places.
Because that’s how I can stay alive a little.
Right here with you 🧡

This magnificent oak tree witnessed centuries of history unfold. It was already over 40 years old when Mozart was just an 8-year-old child. By the time the first steam engine was patented, this tree had grown for 50 years. When the Wright brothers took to the skies with the first powered airplane, this tree had stood tall for 180 years.

But after more than 300 years of standing strong, this ancient oak was sacrificed for the construction of roads between Leamington and Kenilworth, England. In this photo, you can feel the deep sadness of an activist who fought hard to protect it—a reminder of how much history, beauty, and memory a single tree can hold.
