@edbba727 Oh, there's a few leftover days, fear not :)

And we already had a swap because I didn't realize until too late that we were out of charcoal for the smoker, so we mixed things up to Sunday Pot Roast instead of Monday Pot Roast.

That said, I made a beef wellington once for Christmas, and likely will never again after mincing 2lbs of mushrooms by hand with a knife :p
I just wrote my first weekly meal plan and I'm already tired of planning so far in advance.
A TV ad says it's OK to run a dishwasher even when it's only partially full, claiming that it use...
@edbba727 Hand washing dishes is a bit of a lost art, I'm afraid. It used to be you'd wash and your glasses as you filled up the wash basin, then clean silverware in the full wash basin and rinse into the filling rinse basin, and then do the plates in the dirtying water and finally get the pots and pans clean enough. Now it's just "what do you mean fill up the sink with water?
 Well, dang.

Any y'all hiring?

#layoffs
@edbba727 Wish I could offer you something, but we just had our own. Not that we've been hiring all year anyway.

@edbba727 I'd say don't let it dry out too much if it is just road rash. The vaseline helps the skin heal without scarring up if you can keep it up for a week or so. But yea, the heels of your hand are a bit of a lost cause unless you can keep them veeeeery still.

The only noticable scars I really have are ones I couldn't keep covered and let dry out.

@edbba727 Bandages and regular vaseline really help with road rash. The only scars I have are the ones at joints that don't take to bandages easily.

@edbba727 You're probably fine if you did a decent parkour roll; my dad was in his late 50s/early 60s when this happened and landed on his back on brick steps. In any case, he's now in his late 70s and doesn't have any back pain singularly attributable to that event.
New risk I hadn’t previously considered: Walking down one’s own front stairs to check the mai...
@edbba727 Oooof, my dad did something similar one winter: slipped on some ice on the brick steps and did a full Charlie Brown onto his back. He still picked up the newspaper, though! Went to the hospital shortly afterwards when my brother told him he looked like shit (and he admitted he passed out while picking up the damned newspaper).

Honestly, the Charlie Brown probably saved him from falling on his neck.
