@edbba727 Oooof, my dad did something similar one winter: slipped on some ice on the brick steps and did a full Charlie Brown onto his back. He still picked up the newspaper, though! Went to the hospital shortly afterwards when my brother told him he looked like shit (and he admitted he passed out while picking up the damned newspaper).

Honestly, the Charlie Brown probably saved him from falling on his neck.
@8371c8fb Oh no. Now I'm going to be over-analyzing every ache and twinge this evening. 😀
@edbba727 You're probably fine if you did a decent parkour roll; my dad was in his late 50s/early 60s when this happened and landed on his back on brick steps. In any case, he's now in his late 70s and doesn't have any back pain singularly attributable to that event.
@8371c8fb I think so. Good side: no joint pain. Bad side: ow, my skin.
@edbba727 Bandages and regular vaseline really help with road rash. The only scars I have are the ones at joints that don't take to bandages easily.
@8371c8fb Thanks for the vaseline tip. I don't think I can use it much on the heels of my hands, at least while I'm up and doing other stuff. I can grease up my leg after I remove the bandage and let it dry out a bit.
@edbba727 I'd say don't let it dry out too much if it is just road rash. The vaseline helps the skin heal without scarring up if you can keep it up for a week or so. But yea, the heels of your hand are a bit of a lost cause unless you can keep them veeeeery still.

The only noticable scars I really have are ones I couldn't keep covered and let dry out.
