What I was thinking next was leveraging all these php shared hosting as nostr cdn using php. That language is still used on many hosting platforms and that way you could set up some kind of content delivery network using that
How does traditional webhosting can help #grownostr:
nostr:nevent1qqsqtd4c5g679y8a9xr5ql9hz2h77vsvzsytzggjwe4tgmzl5rn0pusprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68yerfvdjjucm0d5hsygx2g3llhkvr2ctkhudpvyn8dklhgnprxkahpsdund5tzg4jp4h2ccpsgqqqqqqshdz7t5
If everything works it sends you a message that it is availble. Very curious if you can get it up and running and the amount of effort it took (and other fewdback)

I just added a brief readme with an outline on how to get the docker container running. I run it through portainer and put a caddy reverse proxy in front of it to make it public
I think thats because you filled wss:// in relay url, if so please try ws://127.0.0.1 first...relay url env is only used in the agent so it can find the relay
Interesting, you have them both running as php processes on the same host or are they running in separate processes? In the latter you would need to enter the ip of the relay-container which publishes that port or connect the host port to the container port using the -p parameter of docker
To facilitate companies switching over to #nostr, ms365, nextcloud and google workplace can provide good inspiration. What tools do we need:
- compatibility with ms office. Long or short, people are used to this software. In the short run this is vital to support. Perhaps it is possible to design a Entera/AD/Exchange proxy built
- realtime collaboration, maybe proxy'ing openoffice through nostr. A relay can provide the compatibility layer for this
- imap/smtp connector/proxy
- secure, shared disks like onedrive, google drive or nextcloud
- video conferencing with internal and external parties
Maybe underbuilding/extending nextcloud with nostr operability?

I have no idea what _you_ mean with that statement, so I apply my own meaning. Being a kid, to me, is in not having to carry responsibility and just enjoy life as it is. From this I'd say yes, children should just be kids for as long as possible. Even adults should connect to their inner kid and be able to just fool around. I think that lightheartedness can really make your own life much more fun.
What do you fear so much you feel the need to vote on Trump? Really, I don't understand...on the other hand I have not been following US politics that much. I barely know the candidates' names...
Actions speak louder than words. In that context I would personally fear Trump more. His actions clearly show a disdain, disapproval and dismissal of opinions other then his own. So what am I missing here?
Sure, but the exact same goes for prominent right wingers, at least that is what we in The Netherlands see. They only call it "fake news" or "alternative facts" but the meaning is equivalent.
Not trump, but what he stands for. It comes over on me as the most retarded thing ever. But hey, may be I am biased as a non-American π€·ββοΈ, I do not understand that culture sometimes I feel...
Sorry to hear all this. Sounds like a lot of frustration and anger, I feel the ranting through the lines. Don't think that an internet stranger can make you feel different. On the other hand I see things so differently. Sure a lot is wrong and it is not like I have much trust in the current political climate in Europe or US, so I resonate on that. However it also feels like a lot of emotions and convictions got mixed up. Fighting fire with fire, most of the time just increases the fire....I hope you find peace in your lifetime.
What I also thought is, it is remarkable your path started in the covid period, but you seem to be inclined to help the powers of those years back in the saddle.
Questioning everything is not necessarily a bad thing, I suppose, but it seems that your focused too much on what is happening outside. The work is within you. Connect with nature and ultimately yourself. Take care of yourself in diet (food, stuff and relationships). Know thouself. I think self love is underestimated and missing in this world. Hope you can connect with yourself and find peace π
Ah, yes not reading the news makes one so much happier. News has become a commercial product, so it needs to be sold. It is however your own choice if you consume it...so I stopped doing that!
They are actually crying that they're being censored by the government/main stream media. It's been quite problematic that even the term "fact" has become so deflated of value that simple opinions are sold of as facts π
I think the main reason is people tend to believe they're own story and dismiss everything opposing it as false. Especially the ones looking for public attention spew their opinions as facts instead of trying to respectfully find truth together with different views. There is too much polarisation. So much that it sometimes feels that not having a polarision or strong opinion is being regarded as the enemy. We need to let go of our egos, convictions, opinions and so called facts to find humanity in the others again.
The basis is in what they experienced in their past. That made the story they told themselves. Whatever one finds on tv, radio on internet that confirms that is true, the rest is false. I think the neo-liberal of a retreating government, privatised institutions and a growing inequality between the haves and dont haves is what formed the foundations of today's declining trust in that same government. So covid stands not in itself, but rather brings up underlaying currents which where already there.
In this zeitgeist I am leaning towards facts being reproducible, retelling of history is by definition never reproducible. So on both side, both opinions are all opinions to me. I see the status quo trying to hold on by spinning it one way and
see opposing forces doing it the other way around. Don't have much trust in either, if I have to be honest.
I feel censoring has some intentionality in it, which I doubt is completely present. Sure for a part, but again both sides censor, twist and deceit in their benefit. It is more that both sides don't believe the other and through that ignore "obvious facts". So to be clear every side censors the other side, and accuses the other of doing that. So yeah, what am I to do about it? Again, in my opinion, facts do not exist in history retelling. Its mostly subjective speculation anyway. So I also feel that I am much more open to suggestion from the nuanced, independent middle, but these are hard to find these days π . And no, both msm or "independent podcasters" qualify to me as a trustworthy source.
However I still trust some state funded institutions here in the Netherlands. Cabinet itself, not so much, but I think that the justice system, bureau of statistics and some others are trustworthy. And here I feel alot of right wingers try to undermine these institutions just because they are "part of government". May be that's the case in the US, can judge that, but I feel that's a shame.
Again my biggest problem with the current political neo-liberal, anti-social climate which has destabilized society. I feel a lot of the economical, societal, housing and other problems are a direct result of the past 20 years policy. So no I don't trust government, but I don't feel the "hard, conservative right" solves problems it just polarises my country even more. That saddens me now and that saddened me enormously during and after covid.
But anyway, I also feel we try to convince each other in the conversation we are having. And that, to be honest is quite pointless (also saying this to myself).
If I want to learn I need to understand. What was for you the main reason you ended up in this state of mind about the world?
Good to be on the same page there. I still think that any form of disregarding information is a form of censorship, but fine to only focus on state censorship. I think in the Netherlands this form of censorship is much less a problem. There are multiple parties in our government, not one with a majority on their own. And there are still enough non-governmental news outlets keeping government in check. What I do see is self-censorship in media and thus being less critical of government, I think our journalists could be more critical, but have no incentive to do so. On contrary even. I also see both uk and us as broken societies, based on information on the internet as well as documentaries about them. So am still feel glad I live in this country, with all its broken parts, but again I feel this country's governement is not (able to) censoring any if all media.
Hope you and your fellow citizens find a way to repair your society.
I notice a lot of (to me uncomprehensible) fear-fed (?) support for the far right, with much deep state conspiracy vibes. I just choose to unfollow those accounts and try to follow the apparant moderates here. I think in polarisation we have to find and listen to the middle ground.
A new step in self-sovereignty: taken the dive and got my #albyhub node up and running. When pretty smooth besides waiting for the funding transactions. Now see if it holds all the zaps going in and outπ€

Is does not get more creative than this π€£
Scaredness trigger a search to safety, often "given" by a leader with answers. Too bad those answers are often just to lure them in. Power leads to corruption, great power lead to great corruption
#codesculpting: the enjoyment in the moldingprocess of software code without the actual intention of producing something useful. Does anyone recognize this?
Use rumors to allow non-nsec users to post content. Using a generated tag that way you could allow them to interact digitally during a keynote, workshop or the like. Comparable with mentimeter. #grownostr #ideastr
That's true, but I have to say that generating private keys within a client feels less safe than on my cli. But a throwaway is indeed a good way to go.
Yes had one on my tail just last week. Devious, since we had a nice chat about so cultural history in the beginning. But when "she" offered tickets to nostrdam because she was pregnant that was too much...
It seems like you did this math before π€£, I am just starting with fountain and is a great way to start directly valuating content. For me it is part the accustomerzation with free content, the unknowns with zapping and all in all unconsciousness of the possibilities that keep me where I am. Anyway, great podcast you're making!
Ok, I listened the episode and yes I stroked against all my hair. I felt sorry for her and yet I see a powerful person believing in what she does. I just can not ignore the irony in trusting so much in the capacity of central authority for people who see decentralization as the way forward. I agree on that and I do not think central governments or "they" have the ability to do what is being said. I think the misery is much less directed Γ³r intentional then you think. BUT I fully agree that "the little people" should empower themselves through decentral technology. Not because we are being misled, but because it is a possibility to make true democracy real.
