Hard to think about anything other than the situation in Gaza 🇵🇸
Meanwhile, the government supporting the war with fuckloads of fiat is having a circle jerk convention with words like freedom and dignity.
Corporations on X: We just acquired # BTC and now hold ## BTC at an average price of $fakefiat.
Plebs on #Nostr: how much do I have? Oh, not enough. Donated some, spent some, zapped some. Gonna stay humble and stack sats.
Humility > Pride
I was nomadic for a year with my wife and daughter. 13 countries, 20+ cities. If we didn’t have spacious Airbnbs with well equipped kitchens, we would have lasted a week at most.
Nashville,
Lightning causes thunder! Energy from a lightning channel heats the air briefly to around 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit, much hotter than the surface of the sun. This causes the air to explode outward. The huge pressure in the initial outward shock wave decreases rapidly with increasing distance and within ten yards or so has become small enough to be perceived as the sound we call thunder.
There’s layers to it…
Similar culture in Pakistan — ie, the social and financial responsibility that the male head of family carries incentivizes him to marry his daughters off as soon as possible/good opportunity presents. If he’s low income, it takes financial weight off his shoulders, and if he’s doing well financially, he knows that may not last forever, so he locks in the best family he’s able to fetch for his daughter.
My grandfather arranged my mother’s marriage when she was15 (she married at 16) and my aunt’s when she was 13 (married at14). He was a successful businessman (flour mills) and didn’t have a financial issue supporting them, but he capitalized on his respect in the community to marry his daughters into the professional class.
Since 1984, courts had to defer to an agency’s interpretation of the law, rather than interpreting independently. Today’s ruling gives the Judiciary back its rightful power and strips the Executive branch of some of its overreach.
We may be losing the plot. There are 2 discernible camps: Privacy + Permissionless network on one side, and NGU on the other. The latter helps make the asset more attractive to institutions, but also is a soft capture because everyone gets addicted to NGU and wants the political winds to help NGU, even if the trade off is that we have to trust them and ask for their permission. Worries me a lot.
On this day of the 4th Halving, the world watches as a genocide continues. About every 10 minutes, a new report of a mother lost, a child killed. Tick tock, next bomb drops.
While we typically stay humble and stack sats (THANK YOU @ODELL), the month of Ramadan is for staying humble and donating sats to the needy, the oppressed, the marginalized.
If you’re feeling charitable, there’s a group of 77 orphans in Uganda that are barely making it. They are surviving with the help of 3 volunteer bitcoiners. Check ‘em out @OrphansofUganda — they have both lightning and on-chain addresses. Currently just focused on ensuring enough food is available for the kids and medicine/healthcare can be provided. Education would follow if support grows inshallah.
X-Twit: People celebrate the price of a scarce asset in manipulated fiat terms.
#Nostr: Plebs celebrate claiming more scarce bitcoin for their families by trading away dirty fiat, making the trade of the century.
Inarkas — bitcoiner, family man, and business owner. Background in law and commercial real estate. Currently nomadic but thinking of moving to Nashville.
Country borrows fiat from IMF/WB to pay old debts > structural adjustment and devaluation causes/accelerates economic crisis > country sells scarce land to address crisis > country doesn't buy scarce BTC to escape vicious cycle > crisis gets worse and country is worse off, with less land. How often will this repeat? @balajis@LynAlden@gladsteinhttps://m.primal.net/HesH.jpg
At least 67 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air and sea attacks on Rafah early on Monday.
The Israeli army says it rescued two captives.
Is anyone else outraged?

Entering Rajab — the month of Rajab is the month of planting, Sha‘ban is the month of irrigating / watering, and Ramadan is the month of harvesting the crop.
Proof will be in the work. Time to get going.
Love the honesty. Best to view VC investments into BTC companies as funding ecosystem development that will help network effects of BTC and therefore help long-term price.
Measuring VC investment against opp cost of holding BTC in cold storage seems to be futile, possibly save 1 in 1000.
Interested in folks that are here for the revolution—the separation of money from state.
Not interested in which ETF has the lowest fees, which one will accumulate the most AUM, or what the fiat price will be as a result.
Decades long fight. Eyes on the prize.
Yes, that’s a great motivator for me too. It’s a prerequisite to removing state from money, and even if we can’t remove state, it provides a halal option to live one’s life.
