Bitcoin will play a role because true intelligence needs to be resource constrained, and (meta-)cognition has to be distributed; in other words: AGI won't be one thing, but a multitude of things that pay for resources in sats (economic constraints on top of physical constraints). My 2 sats.
Just in case you're missing the point: the innovation is not that it is metered, the innovation is that you can have KYC-free service, just like buying an apple at the corner store doesn't require KYC.
