If you have never made pull request to a free open-source project you should make that your weeks challenge. Even something simple, like fixing some spelling in a readme doc. Don't be scared. There's a bunch of technical ways to make a pr, but the easiest is to edit a doc directly in github, it will make the pr for you. Just register on github, go to the page you want to edit and click the edit button 👍.

Nah its dumb bitcoin elitism. People on subsistence wages should be able to use bitcoin payment rails, and stablecoins are an important part of that. Being interopable, also gives quick access to the savings property of bitcoin.
Ahhh, those types of stablecoins. I'm more defending stable MoE. Although it is possible to have stablecoins without companies on bitcoin, more work on that should be haooen. I guess when you say stablecoins you mean the tether types?

In fact, this is the use case that gets me bullish on fedi. A federation not subject to regulation as its supported by the sovereign nation doesn't have drawbacks of yocal federations, or regulatory burden.

With ecash, game theory is borked unless dark market murky mints or mints being able to transcended regulatory burden, such as a country. Creating sovereign soft currencies with fedi makes me bullish, the rest seems pointless.
National federated stablecoins to be used by nations and wiggle out of fiat hegamony. El sal dollar rather than USD. We could use in Wales to create a Welsh pound, and escape Bank of England. People get stable and private money, that's harder to corrupt than current fiat.
It's the quality of federation and how the funds are secured. So far I wouldn't trust the federations being discussed. Early days tho. Liquid go to great pains to secure their federation, for now that seems like a better solution to me. Or trust a high signal team, like Galoy and Blink.
I hope not. That country was a literal warzone, so we couldnt project the processes we hold dear in our stable countries. The country is functional now and safe for residents, the change is dramatic. The real test is if he can step down via fair elections, which is usually when populist leaders who made radical change slip into being dictators.
