Wow, paid $40 on fees for transaction today 🚀🤩
bitcoin IS digital gold (with commodity use cases we may not agree with), secured deep in a Swiss bunker with guards. Onchain being expensive to move should be expected. Just because we had a time with low demand, shouldn't skewer expectations.
The sooner Onchain low fee enviroment ends, the better. People need incentives to work on actual scaling solutions, LN, Liquid, swaps will work great for now.
Futures bright 🔥
I don't see the logic of me rejoicing high fees so people work on scaling being elitist 🤷🏼
You want a bitcoin the whole world can access, but you don't want high onchain fees?
LNbits/Makerbits will be managing the hackspace at Bitcoin Atlantis, forging the tools of liberation in Madeiras mighty volcano.
Will be unconf style, workshops and hacking aplenty, Join us!

Nos-da was the pronunciation decided on the first video every made about Nostr. If you pronounce it any other way you will have your account on nostr suspended.
Nos-da is also Welsh for goodnight 😴

Having a centralised service in a business stack is a sword of Damocles.
With nostr, those random centralised rule changes that destroy good ideas/projects/businesses, no longer exists.

This issue you have is with the njump project,. Any tracking they use is restricted to `/<event>` on nostr dot com.
Lame move hijacking this thread to push a bunch of FUD.
Turn your bitcoin PoS into an ATM 😍
Made a tutorial showing this and MORE in the new LNbits TPoS updates, lead by Tal 🙌
✅ Create circular economies
✅ Incentivise merchants
✅ Mock legislation

It's not lack of understanding what's needed for nostr dot com, it's time/resources. We'll get to it. Dedicating more resources to an overhaul and making the site more useful is why I put it under the official management of LNbits Inc. Once LNbits Inc's seed raise is complete, its a priority.
Nostr Market: The problem of censorship-resistant, decentralised markets has been solved.
Just published a short tutorial of our LNbits Nostr Market clients 🚀🎉

He's talking about njump located on only `/<event>` I think, which has some tracking (not by us, but the njump project). If he hates njump so much he should fork, and create a version without tracking we can use🙏
It's just a censorship p2p marketplace client. YOU decide on the merchants you expose yourself to. We will maintain a list of merchants for convenience but only for vanilla clearnet stuff.
Your Nostr experience is pegged to the client you use.
For me Amethyst feels like the best parts of Reddit and Jack's-twitter combined. Not just a clone, a unique new platform that's a real pleasure to use. Regardless of censorship-resistant, blah, blah, it's just a glorious user experience 💜
Tivoli is sick.
Walt Disney went there as he wanted Disneyland to have same vibe (failed horribly obv).
❤️ Copenhagen. What other city has an amusement park (Tivoli), and anarchist Freetown (Christiania), within it 😍
Local, I imagined controllers connected over wifi or ble. Espmdf does this and it's sick. Controllers can be both clients and relays, and map the network using gossip.
No, the client is just empty template that fills. My marketplace client will be full of vanilla stuff, on someone elses browser something else, all depends on the merchants keys they pull in
Wherever you draw that line, proliferation of gun ownership makes the line more extreme. Here in UK a cricket bat will do, as the ruffians won't have guns. If they did have guns I'd want a machine gun, if they had machine guns I'd want (whatever comes next, chlorine gas?), etc, etc, etc
Opposite. Not enough people care about decentralising mining. The very fact taproot could get in off a few closed door agreements with miners IS an issue.
Nothing wrong in a dude selling a domain. Could be for the best. Ie we all wish Rogar Ver sold bitcoin dot com to someone better in 2013,. I'm Roger Ver (potentially)
Nostr dot com for sale! $5m, offer ends 20th Sept, at which point it will come under the umbrella/management of LNbits Inc for 3 years.
(If sold, I commit to 10% going to fiatjaf, and 10% towards LNbits development). DM or email ben at lnbits dot com if interested.
Rationale: I would of course prefer to keep it, but current needs must. I bought the domain in 2020 for $5k, and it's value is at least x1000. If its not sold, @lnbits will use for services, such as relays and sell NIP05 handles.
The sale must be to the right person/project/company who will use it for something great.
If I am in fact a dick then surely the domain would be better managed by someone else? Roger Ver didn't sell his domain and he is a monster dick. Would it of been a dick move if he had sold to something better?
It's about seeing if a person/company/project exists out there who are appropriate to pass onto. Likelihood is that there is not, so LNbits will officially manage after 20th, so I'm less of an attack vector. Either way, whatever comes next for the domain is better.
