 Opposite. Not enough people care about decentralising mining. The very fact taproot could get in off a few closed door agreements with miners IS an issue. 
 +1. Also trying to form miner alliances etc to make the call for all is not a great solution. 

I believe Nanotech solutions @jack's TBD/Spiral is infusing will make a significant diff in speed, in hopes to decentralize to smaller clusters

On a separate note, Fabs, semicon industry is a costly affair to be moved around or be made into mass boutique silicon chip providers. There needs to be a balance between globalisation and country's self sustenance. I think the bigger problem (and opportunity) might be establishing bitcoin as global trade currency to minimise Brics vs USD war 
 Wrong. Just because Taproot was put in after some closed door arguments does not make it so that it was put in by the miners. The rest of the network still had to come to consensus about Taproot. That means all nodes, not just miners, put in Taproot. Check your bias.
