Hardware is generally a low-margin revenue stream. It's not wrong that you should pay attention to shifts in business strategy like this, but the underlying reasons are important and it can actually be a good thing. From what I've heard about S9 this recent shift actually makes market sense.
Prediction 1: the Dead Internet Theory will prove to be true... on the old internet as AI bots and centralized/government control stifles it's usability.
Prediction 2: Nostr will be (and already is in the beginning stages of being) the new, living internet where users will be drawn as they reclaim their attention, their data, and even their economic livelihoods with #Nostr and #Bitcoin.
He does, and seems pretty well tied into the existing space-industrial-complex. I think he's really there to be a champion for the legacy system to compete with Musk.
Don't get me wrong Musk is also part of the cartel, but he has a different philosophy and different goals than the previously established players and has caused them major embarrassment with his success.
Yep, I toured the Kent, WA facility multiple times when I was in college, and it was the same. It's obvious that some amount of work has been and is being done there, but it's too clean and no sense of urgency. I was excited about the New Glenn when they first released the Payload User's Guide, but then it just never led to anything. In a competitive environment that's usually a sign of failure to roll out a successful product.
I thought everydayastronaut.com would have an article on the Starship specs but I can't seem to find it. I was following this very closely until about 2 years ago...
GM, and I'm excited to see those of you who make it to nostr:nprofile1qqs8mez352yxc2r9yt838c9f0sfs86ey0ygh7e996qspx773957u95gpzemhxue69uhkummnw3ex2mrfw3jhxtn0wfnj7ypspnl today!
#asknostr I'm aware of @HORNETS (https://www.hornet.storage/), which I'm excited about, but I have an immediate term need for cloud-based file storage. Google and Microsoft make me wanna puke, and I'd prefer to go open source.
What currently available open source solutions do folks recommend around here?
It's great to hear Efrat purple pilling Mike Benz! Mike so has a way to go, but I hope he gives it a real look.

It's true that we can't stop it in the near term, but what we can do is learn what we can do to mitigate the effects in our own bodies.
This is why I've taken an interest in mineral balancing to address environmental metal poisoning. It doesn't solve the problem, but it gives us a way to better maintain our health.

I'm still new to the subject myself, but I can dig into my YT history to find some videos on the topic as well for you. It's just one part of my bigger rabbit hole about electrolytes and how to deal with mineral deficiencies.
I think it would be worth teaching out to the guy who made the mineral balancing page I linked to, since he's been aggregation this info.
It'd be cool if we could get him posting on Nostr!
As others have said, maybe he's following in the steps of Jack Dorsey.
But he could also be looking to co-opt the open source movement now that it may be the only viable path to compete with OpenAI.
War is bad for the economy. Every. Single. Time.

I keep hearing that in the US you can buy non-KYC bitcoin at ATMs, but my mom bought some from an ATM a while back (surprisingly) and it also required her info to complete the transaction. So at the very least, not all Bitcoin ATMs are non-KYC.
Gross!
(I write from my Windows OS laptop...)
I'm going to install Linux soon. Only kept windows for work, but a recent change in status makes the switch easier.
Jack might not actually be (entirely) wrong. Central govs want centrally controlled AI, and would-be centrally-controlled-AI developers are finding that they can't catch up to OpenAI. This means that the would-be's may have a vested interest in the development of OSAI in partnerships (which they will likely try to co-opt). So funding will go into OSAI but they will try to control it's development and direction.
It's not too dissimilar to what we've been seeing with the recent institutional acknowledgement and "adoption" of bitcoin (albeit via ETFs).
It's a road full of snares, but it's the road we have to walk down.
I believe that you can make the best determination for yourself of what actions are best for you to take for the future protection and prosperity of you and yours. In that spirit, no, not at all!
Normies have been inundated with so many "conspiracy theories" and are so sensitive to peer pressure that they write these explanations off without a further thought.
What I believe will work for them, however, is a demonstration in a way that they can resonate with showing how Nostr and Bitcoin can solve their problems. The more user-friendly, the better.
What accounting software/tools do y'all recommend if I'm transitioning my personal life over to and working to build a business using a bitcoin standard? The search engines gave me a lot of fiat companies with "crypto modules" or whatever and it made me want to vomit.
#asknostr
Good idea, how about tricking them into thinking they owe taxes when they usually don't, and having them sign a paper agreeing to the amount they (don't actually) owe, and requiring them to pay the amount in theft money.
Update: I can now get it to generate the content, after spending some time on relays (I was being lazy about this at first). However, I do still get the error message as in the screenshot above (failed to reserve domain name). I have an idea of something to try and will post back. https://m.primal.net/KymU.png
