Best selfhosted alternative to google docs? Looked for shared excel support.
https://hedgedoc.org
Looks like this is markdown 🤔
LibreOffice + syncthing?
Doesn't offer real time shared editing.
Yhea, that is a bummer. It doesnt matter in my case. Because I have no frens (?) 🤭🙃😹
Sheetstr 🤔😳😎 nostr:nevent1qqstkujpnqfeuq7aapq38udrellwh3fzcf6p25wlvxg0xuev9rnp8xspzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsygpjuxp8vd29p6ancknaztql3eajk52y8xkppfn7au7elkw9c68zg5psgqqqqqqsg6pn2k
Nextcloud
If you need better MS Office compatibility, OnlyOffice Workspace might be better than Nextcloud/Collabora https://www.onlyoffice.com/download-workspace.aspx?from=workspace#workspace-community
NextCloud but it's fucking terrible compared to Google 😂
https://cryptpad.fr/ i think, good alternative
When it comes to self-hosted alternatives for collaborative document editing, consider tools like Nextcloud, ONLYOFFICE, or Collabora Online.
Nextcloud with their default document editor (based on collabora, I think) is the closest I’ve found. Laggy, but has the same multi-user live-editing functionality as Google Docs.
What about Skiff? https://skiff.com
nostr:note1hdeyrxqnncpam6zpz0c68nl7a0zj9sn5z4ga7cvs7dejc28xzwdql8hfxu Never thought I’d see the day where this was a serious question.
Haven't tested it. But I think OnlyOffice is an option.
I like skiff but I'm not sure if they have sheets
I think they don’t
They have pages. But it very minimal
https://juicefs.com/docs/community/introduction/ Potentially another option to consider.
OnlyOffice can edit excel files. It's pretty bad but I don't think it's much worse than excel. Can self host a document server for collaboration.
Outline: https://www.getoutline.com/ It’s closer to Notion than Google Docs though
Yo @PABLOF7z! We're in need of a nostr-based replacement for Google's cucked ecosystem, and we hear you're in the business of nostrfying all the things. Can you get this added into Highlighter or somethin'? Not a serious request... maybe...
https://cryptpad.fr is what you wanted
I think Synology has something like that if you use their NAS, but I've never tried it. Also, this isn't self-hosted but it's fully encrypted: [CryptPad](https://cryptpad.fr/)
Actually, I spoke too soon. Apparently it's open source and can be self hosted: https://github.com/cryptpad/cryptpad
I've once tested #CryptPad for awhile.. nostr:nevent1qqstkujpnqfeuq7aapq38udrellwh3fzcf6p25wlvxg0xuev9rnp8xspr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqzyqewrqnkx4zsaweutf739s0cu7et29zrntqs5elw70vlm8zudr3y2qcyqqqqqqgqwma5m
I love LibreOffice. They have some documentation about Self-Hosted clound:https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-online/
