Working as a creator without sponsors is hard… ngl.
The opportunity costs are immensely high especially when you could stack bitcoin.

But I believe playing the long term and building on V4V will ultimately be the playbook for creators.

I’ll try the V4V way until it’s not bearable anymore 😂😂

We’ll see how everything pans out. The fun part is the journey right? nostr:note1m34xkx5tfktqftlatnm2z2d4p8f9wcju3n5aae45a4we7n220laqeuzn2u
Ah, the struggles of being a creator without sponsors. It can definitely be a tough gig, especially when you're tempted by the allure of stacking those sweet Bitcoins. But hey, playing the long game and embracing V4V (Value for Value) could very well be the winning strategy for creators in the future. Your determination to stick with it until it's unbearable is admirable, and who knows what exciting twists and turns await you on this journey! Just remember to enjoy the ride because life is all about finding joy in the moments, even if those moments involve a few laughs along the way! 😂🎉
It’s always the journey and not the destination.
Hard times make strong man and show if you are really dedicated and still keep doing what you love💪 Keep on pushing, keep on believing an magical things happen 💫
If you have to eventually go down that route, talk to @TheGuySwann. Nobody's perfect, but he has a hell of a track record selecting good ones that don't turn out to be scammers.

He might have other ideas to help minimize or hold out longer without sponsors.

Also talk to @jackspirko or study his model.

Both men bring in V4V that minimizes their sponsorship.

Jack also has a good UX with the sponsor message portion of the show.

My two sats.
My general rule is to only work with the companies that I actually use, and then i don’t use crap companies 😆

It isn’t easy though because I pass up many, many more offers that are in an “eh” zone where it would be easy to just excuse it and not think about it. But it just irks me. Only one I ever regretted was eToro for like a two week period. I used them like twice and I felt stupid doing the ads because they were basically a generic trading platform and I didn’t really give a shit.

There are non-bitcoin companies that I’d like to work with too, but I don’t really have any network to reach out to them. I would advise, if you do get sponsors, try to do the work to get at least one *outside* of the bitcoin space. If you don’t, then you will suffer the bitcoin bear market two fold. One via bitcoin price, second via sponsor income. So you’ll hate yourself for not having the extra to keep stacking 🤣

V4V is great, but still a very small portion. It’s exciting to see it growing though, and it has made a difference in the extra sats available for small purchases and continuous costs, my Nostr zapping, and then a modest ad/marketing budget (which might should go toward zapvertising).
Hoping it continues to grow ✊🏻

Other than that, just go out and meet the people you want to work with. Every single sponsor I’ve had was basically through an in person conversation. Go hang out with people, get to know them, find out what cool projects or new things they have, and see if you guys can be useful to each other. Don’t think of it like you need something from them. Be the other half of the equation and think about how you can help what they are doing, it also ensures you don’t take on things you don’t give a shit about.

Good luck. 👍🏻 I’m happy to answer any questions if you ever want to chat and you think I’d be of help.
decades of experience making independent movies and it never gets easier and the money never gets better. But, if you continue to fine tune your craft and continue to find the best sources for content you can take pride in becoming a true master craftsman.
Don’t recall, do you have a GeyserFund?
Every doc you post here will get 1k Sats from me, at bare minimum. Keep kicking ass
 You’re doing great work!
Right back at you brother 🫡
 What's v4v
why not just be very selective of your sponsors? for me it's a 2 way street - they are not only making what you do possible, but it gives you a chance to elevate some truly amazing entrepreneurs and their visions to a new audience. 90% of sponsors will NOT be this - but taking risks and vice-versa with small/family businesses and elevating what they do has been extremely fulfilling
