My general rule is to only work with the companies that I actually use, and then i don’t use crap companies 😆 It isn’t easy though because I pass up many, many more offers that are in an “eh” zone where it would be easy to just excuse it and not think about it. But it just irks me. Only one I ever regretted was eToro for like a two week period. I used them like twice and I felt stupid doing the ads because they were basically a generic trading platform and I didn’t really give a shit. There are non-bitcoin companies that I’d like to work with too, but I don’t really have any network to reach out to them. I would advise, if you do get sponsors, try to do the work to get at least one *outside* of the bitcoin space. If you don’t, then you will suffer the bitcoin bear market two fold. One via bitcoin price, second via sponsor income. So you’ll hate yourself for not having the extra to keep stacking 🤣 V4V is great, but still a very small portion. It’s exciting to see it growing though, and it has made a difference in the extra sats available for small purchases and continuous costs, my Nostr zapping, and then a modest ad/marketing budget (which might should go toward zapvertising). Hoping it continues to grow ✊🏻 Other than that, just go out and meet the people you want to work with. Every single sponsor I’ve had was basically through an in person conversation. Go hang out with people, get to know them, find out what cool projects or new things they have, and see if you guys can be useful to each other. Don’t think of it like you need something from them. Be the other half of the equation and think about how you can help what they are doing, it also ensures you don’t take on things you don’t give a shit about. Good luck. 👍🏻 I’m happy to answer any questions if you ever want to chat and you think I’d be of help.
