I started wearing a Garmin watch to track my sleep. In one of the pictures, you can see a low sleep score, which was after I drank a 6-pack of IPA 🍺

I agree. Best nights i ever tracked in the past were ones when i was hydrated. something about being hydrated allows for better sleep.
Alcohol is known to disrupt sleep. Body has to work hard to filter the toxins out. I’ve never considered hydration level. Hmmm might have to experiment

Yes. I have found hydration is important.
It's a hard balance though. Too much hydration means too many trips to the bathroom.

When I used to wear a whoop I could easly see how booze effected my sleep.
Dosent stop me from indulging. But I do drink less and rarely go beyond three beers in a night.
I mean for me it was obvious that alco isn’t good but I didn’t know that it fucks that hard !

Almost, yeah. When I saw the numbers between a night of sober sleep versus a night of like even having a couple beers, I was definitely a bit shocked.
I guess it's one thing to know that alcohol isn't that great for you and it's another thing to see the numbers shoved in your face.
There is zero benefits of drinking alco 🤷♂️ but we still can’t completely stop drinking for some reasons
Even though I go through phases where sometimes I won't drink for maybe like a week or more, I still always end up coming back to having a beer at some point. It's definitely a weird habit.

You may have candida overgrowth which feeds on the sugar and literally controls your brain and tells you to give it beer. Freeing yourself from that entity would serve your life force energy.

Sleep is a black box to me. We know a few things by studying what happens when you mess with sleep, but it’s largely simple
observations rather than well theoretically reasoned experiments to confirm a theory.
I find drinking water between alcoholic drinks is a good strategy in general.
If I'm drinking from bottles I will sometimes rinse and refill each bottle with some water. I can blend in with the hardcore drinkers that way.
