Does anyone have info or experience on fasting and knee pain/tendon issues? I've been dealing with runner's knee in both of knees, one of them for 10 years. Each time I fast the pain gets significantly lower.. it's still there but much less. #asknostr
 Have you tried foam rolling?
 Every day 😞😬😳
Hamstring and quads? Sometimes knee issues can be a symptom of other things like hip or back.
 +1

Great for myofascial release!
 Fasting reduces inflammation.

The increased autophagy might also be helping to clear out old damaged cells in your knee.

Bone broth & gelatinous meat (brisket, pork knuckle, ribs) is high in glycine & should be good for repairing after the fast.
Yeah - it's just odd I've been doing carnivore(ish) for some time now. But fasting seems to really help. I feel if I went on an extended fast they would heal much quicker. Right now I'm doing a 24 hr fast once a week.
Carnivore is really good for lowering inflammation.

I find my sweet spot for fasting is around 48-72hrs. After 72hrs I start to struggle.

I do an 17-18hr fast every day but it's been a while since I did an extended one. It feels like it's time for one.
The longest one I did was 7 days 👀
Same - I was mentally losing my shit by the end of it 🤣
Yeah it's probably best for the reduction of inflammation and the weakest cells die.

If you've tendon issues do triphasic training.

If it's been 10 years then change your programming. Every 4th week do a deload where you only do 50% of your workouts.

Workouts break down the body, and recovery must be sufficient to heal AND cause positive adaptations.

Week 1 30 miles total
Week 2 35m
Week 3 40
Week 4 10-15
Week 5 33
Week 6 38
Week 7 43
Week 8 12-16

Look into NST (neuro somatic therapy).
I was on carnivore diet for 120 days. There is information out there that when your in keto your body is in a fasted state. I spend a lot of time on my feet in my occupation. I would normally have to have my legs massaged out. Either with a massage gun or a massage session. Through the carnivore lifestyle after about the first 30 days my leg pains and issues went away. No massaging needed and I felt amazing. You could chalk a lot of that up to the fact I lost about 20lbs in that first 30 days but i would say it would be a combination of reduced inflammation and weight loss.

I realize you asked about fasting. My thought is you will get all the things you are after with the carnivore diet without having to fast. Just my experience though. All anecdotal.
Amazing! 👏👏👏👏👏I also cured a different health issue with carnivore but once I started working out more my knee pain came back. I did start eating some vegetables again though too. Will be interesting to see if I go back to strict carnivore if it takes away the problem.
My bet is that it will. I was extremely strict with the carnivore lifestyle. Only thing that was outside of the rules was coffee. So hope that information helps. Good Luck! I hope your knee pain subsides.
 Thank you!
You already got some good advice. You may also look into BPC157 peptide. I used it for tennis elbow and it was the only thing that worked.
Literally was looking today! Did you do injections yourself?
Yep. If you use insulin needles, you don't even feel it. This coming from someone that haaaaated getting shots as a kid.
Not medical advise but drink bone broth and start walking barefoot to correct possible issues from bad posture and bad shoes.
