You know what’s the easiest way to fuck the system? Minimalism. Stop buying shit. It’s that easy…
Gotta buy food and socks...
Why do you need socks? I thought you don’t eat food?
Foot comfort intermediate layer while wearing work boots. I do. I always will.
Beavers in Boots would be a great name for a children's show.
Is the beaver a welder?
A verrrry cranky welder who hates coffee. He's got a dumb best friend who is a snake, ironically (no thumbs), but is a much better welder but who follows none of the rules. He just looks through his welding shield and says "Be the puddle" and shit just works out. Makes our beaver sooo mad.
Compelling, id watch
I wonder if @The Beave will sue me for using his likeness to shill my educational children show which is obvisouly a rip off of perfect strangers.
Go right ahead. I'd watch it. 😁
That "be the puddle" quote literally comes from my uncle who's a retired Welder who was told when he was training to look down into the melted metal and "be the puddle" I had a piece of wood art done up for him with that engraved on it because it's such a cool mantra.
You eat socks?
I PUT FOOD ON MY FAMILY
Buy food locally and buy socks sparingly. #minimalize
That's the goal, for sure.
Samurai, soldier, you should know better Didn’t you watch Forest Gump?
Dry socks are very important, but the more socks you have doesn't guarantee dry socks. These are the only socks you need to own, I only have three pairs. https://image.nostr.build/72fcaa3a4a47a492a77020cb820e5e41f21dd836bb495649b112fd7dc344decd.jpg
I don't think I can wear those...
The elastic band in the center makes your foot feel like it has been taped. I love this. The toes aren't for everyone but I need it for Japanese moisture and have to wear flip-flop style slippers.
Well, cool, but, how long do they take to put on?
For my feet about a second longer than normal socks, my pinky toe usually gets jammed up. That time is maybe up by how fast the socks can dry. If you are a runner, hiking or live in a very humid place I would recommend these socks.
I am not sure my toes would fit. 😅
My main problem in Japan is they sell sock sizes up to 28cm but I wear a size 30cm so I usually get holes in my socks very fast. Fortunately they sell this sock in size 30cm so the length is okay and I don't get holes as fast but it is a tight fitting sock.
Buy good wool socks, hubs has had a couple pair 10 years or more. Darn Tough is what we buy, pricey but they have a warantee if you wear a hole in them.
Agreed
Sounds like what a good commie would say 😂
I’m talking to the community here who keeps on talking about buying bitcoin and fucking the system, not myself Ya’ll are the ones that want to destroy things, not me. I’m just providing valuable advice.
thankfully, the two things presented here are not mutually exclusive. Not buying crap hurts the system. Buying bitcoin hurts the system. the logical conclusion is to use money that would be spent on crap on bitcoin instead; 2 birds with one stone.
I went minimalist in 2017, about 4 years before I embraced Bitcoin. For me it was out of a disgust with Consumerism, disgust with marketing, and an unwillingness to have my opinions and actions influenced by those who only wanted my money. I looked around myself at all the "stuff" I had acquired, and realized how much time I had invested in stuff that I didn't even want...
The way to fuck the system is to realize that the stuff you pay attention defines your world. You're what you pay attention to, your world is what you care about, your humanity is who is around you. Minimalism can help as long as you don't underestimate the role of happiness in life: nothing is worth doing just for the sake of it. Fucking the system is not of any use per-se, I prefer to explore the world and then, eventually, understand that my happiness incidentally intersects the "fucking of the system".
What you're saying is you would prefer if kids were being starved and bombed and just so you can fuck the system perpetually. I'm certain you thought this was some profound philosophy you thought up here lmfao.
The Consumerist Lie: As humans existing in a consumerist society, we are bombarded 24/7 with messages designed to make us feel like we are somehow incomplete until we purchase an endless litany of marketed products. The sad part is we “buy it” in both meanings of the phrase. Imagine finally buying your dream car. Imagine yourself happy, not a care in the world, driving along a curving street alongside the ocean at sunset, the warm breeze blowing through your hair. This is the future you dream of, the “where” that you work so tirelessly to reach. But “who” will you be in that idealized future? You tell yourself that you’ll magically become your ideal self, that you’ll land a job you love, lose weight, eat better, and have a better relationship with your partner and kids. Best of all, you just know that the dream car is exactly what it will take to finally release you from all the stress you feel in your daily life. You know this with certainty because you’ve never seen an unhappy person in a single car ad. That checks out, right? Ads don’t lie. The car “must” make you happier. I hate to shatter that reality, but no. Despite everything the marketers would coax you to believe through their unrelenting multi-billion dollar assaults on your eyeballs, that dream just isn’t a reality. More likely, you’ll buy that car and keep working the same job you hate to pay for its upkeep. You’ll keep eating junk food. You’ll continue to argue with your partner, and the stress… It won’t go away. You’ll still struggle to juggle your rent or mortgage payment with increasing food and energy prices. You’ll still fight to get a raise each year at work, while inflation marches on unchallenged. You’ll still have your savings devalued every time those in government decides the economy needs more money in it… The Consumerist Lie tells you will ascend Maslow’s Pyramid on a ramp made of stuff; that once you have all the material things you’ve ever wanted, you’ll find yourself at Maslow’s Apex, find fulfillment, and be able to finally realize the full extent of your talent and potential. You want to believe this lie… It feels right. It aligns with every advertisement you’ve ever seen and aligns with what you see from your favorite celebrities and media influencers. But it’s not real… I think deep down, you already know that… “[We] are persuaded to spend money we don’t have on things we don’t need to create impressions that won’t last on people we don’t care about.” -Tim Jackson This lie pervades every aspect of our society. But there is a way out…. “Bitcoin is not a trade. It is the exit!” -Olawale Daniel The above is an excerpt from my article "Maslow's Apex: Bitcoin's Liberation of the Human Spirit". If you enjoyed it, you can read the full article here: https://lookingglasseducation.com/maslows-apex-bitcoins-liberation-of-the-human-spirit/ https://image.nostr.build/60ba6980be2cb4e15aa857d0771df1c07b99b72f694d0040076c032a9768bf95.jpg nostr:nevent1qqsg7t7l4vjsdja2kj2unrql4qp30peqymks5ckupmq3s9y9l037gjgpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qgsxcm37qhsun542urkjgv25ft4yz9m3mkwczqt48xhslkqckguf72qrqsqqqqqpdvhphx
This
Love that. I would add looking after your health too so you don’t get sucked into the medical industrial complex.
Agree 100 percent with that!!

Also is an easy way to unfuck yourself. 😂
Isn’t as impactful if the masses don’t do the same…
Darwinism will get a lot of em I’m not concerned
This is the way of the goats.
Easiest way to stack sats too
Stop buying shit, and stack sats instead.
One mans spending is another mans income. Less about not spending, than it is spending with intention
I feel a little like a hypocrite for sharing this. The problem is that I do agree with it on the principal level, but I also like to buy shit... nostr:nevent1qqsg7t7l4vjsdja2kj2unrql4qp30peqymks5ckupmq3s9y9l037gjgppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qgsxcm37qhsun542urkjgv25ft4yz9m3mkwczqt48xhslkqckguf72qrqsqqqqqp9azvat
There is a fine line between a need and a want. Make sure you know the difference. https://image.nostr.build/835c3fc5f41af4ca44d7d3cce5ab4c5592c75058d6aab3a67f5706878b11fce4.jpg
That would only work if the masses all at once decide to stop buying "shit" Unfortunately the masses keep buying cheap "shit" Which in end up does not fuck the system. It's fucks the savers while those who buy "shit" live in luxury as long as they live in debt. Bitcoin fixes all this. Keep saving in Bitcoin. Only Bitcoin will fuck the system.
kinda... its true, I can't control what others do but I can voluntarily leave and join with other like minded people. help create ways to exist in parallel economies and most of all be happy. Reading toxic threads on x and being mad all day isn't freedom Make a point of reading Altlas Shrugged if you haven't. cheers!
i couldn't finish that book... i enjoyed a few chapters of Fountainhead way more than the first 200 pages of Atlas but i mean, she's on point, the way she characterised the socialist drones and their endless gossip and retardation, so perfectly accurate was the holy roller mainstream of the 50s to 90s and then flipped to be the socialists of the period since then, same mentality, same literal people, went from all stiff suits and shit to commie jar hats and bags covered in badges and shitty graffitos of sickle and hammers and veganism the flip was jarring for most people, i'm sure, but i think their time in the sun is about to end in a slide into the abyss, with lots of ugly self destruction
Julius always gave us a lesson, but many people didn’t take it seriously. 😅 https://m.primal.net/LCJV.jpg
Yes. Thought about getting tickets to BTC Conference 2025. Decided I’ll just spend that money on buying more BTC
A fellow prepper and hunter friend of mine has a good saying: “Gear begets gear.” Think you just need an ATV? Do you have a trailer? Tools? 12V air compressor? Tow sling and clevises? Jerry cans? Spare parts? Helmet? Rifle rack? It goes on and on. Same thing for camping.
some things are worth buying
That's the definitive way of being part of the system. The system wants you to buy less "shit", because working and having the minimun places you nearest of a slave. The entire 2030 agenda is about that.
Freedom is choice Choose your system wisely
Say it louder for the people in the back!! I wish so much crap was never bought in my 20s, trying to get rid of it now is a nightmare. Future me would tell past me just don't! nostr:nevent1qqsg7t7l4vjsdja2kj2unrql4qp30peqymks5ckupmq3s9y9l037gjgpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7q3qd3hrup0pe8f24c8dysc4gjh2gythrhvasyqh2wd0plvp3v3cnu5qxpqqqqqqzl8yugp
Stop buying shit WITH THEIR MONEY … only buy with BTC
First i need to sell those shit i have been collected 😄
And sweep those free cashflows into Bitcoin
We don't need it. We can't afford it. nostr:note13uhal2e9qm964dy4exxpl2qrz7rjqfhdpf3dcrkprq2gt7lru3yscshs20
Being broke just made me into a rebel. Knew there had to be some upside.
This. That which you can do without, you own. nostr:note13uhal2e9qm964dy4exxpl2qrz7rjqfhdpf3dcrkprq2gt7lru3yscshs20
Change the system. That is the best way to fuck it.
and stack sats ✌️
never bought shit. never had to be convinced otherwise
One of my favorite books is on this very topic (minimalism). Read it 3 times thus far. https://m.primal.net/LCbX.jpg
I was thinking about this last night when I had sleep apnea and here is my thought- Actually if you will go full minimalist style as a worker, system will still fuck with you bcs of taxes. And those who are in monopoly positions will enjoy their short life based on taxes. Idk, if you want to rly fuck the system, find something you don’t need to tax or in my country is opinion, to be business man and don’t pay taxes as much I’m paying as a worker if I’m buying something. Or another example in my country is to pay monthly in new system called “dip” what should be saving to you retirement, but on your own terms with bonuses from system. I’m buying Bitcoin ETF there and I can get tax deduction based on how much I invested to that “DIP” in a year. So basically I’m saving in Bitcoin and getting for it paid by a system, that’s what I call “fuck the system” But it’s just my honest opinion, but every one can do what they want ☮️
No. You have to reduce the use of slave money.
kn0w wat hard assets ar & minimalism. any paper ba$ed shit is not an a$$et bc0z it says so. $bitcoin is an asset bc0z - backed by electricity & maths. computer is an asset bc0z - backed by hardware & s0ftware, if U really 0wn the s0urcec0de not cl0ud c0mpute. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSdhijZ7Uz4 H2, Hydr0carb0ns ar assets bc0z they provide l0gistics & so on.
Even better than minimalism just buying stuff that lasts for life :) And saving in bitcoin coz then you want less stuff and more btc
It needs another small step. Buy more from small and local businesses. Buying less but only spending with big chains won’t actually change much. But supporting small local businesses will put the soul back into communities.
It took me such a long time to stop buying (into) useless shit. Quite hard in the beginning. The older I get, the more I make, the less I buy. Feels great.
Heh, exactly the same for me. It's at the point where just knowing I *could* buy something is almost as good as actually buying it. 😏
Exactly
If you're not willing to buy something with Bitcoin, do you really need it?
I have to build parallel circular economies with no third party outside of tyrannical control. Minimalism is a good start but it isn't enough, we gotta fight.
Vote with your money
Buy sats, not plastic
I have children
Teach them how to fuck the system too.
This is the way
True statement.
Shit... i'm doing well, im the kind of guy who would own only 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 knife & 1 pan nostr:nevent1qqsg7t7l4vjsdja2kj2unrql4qp30peqymks5ckupmq3s9y9l037gjgpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qgsxcm37qhsun542urkjgv25ft4yz9m3mkwczqt48xhslkqckguf72qrqsqqqqqpdvhphx
The government hates savers... its why the US implemented 6102 Minimalism = less fiat crap and more room to stack sats We like it!
Exactly. Producing more than consuming is the key :)
So true yet so hard for many
I moved states with my ex-wife and thought I'd be settled there for a while. She ended up cheating so I moved back home and after lugging around 600+ vinyl records and other stuff up and then back only 9 months later, I opted to minimalize my life. I've made a good amount of money selling things off and my load is much lighter, feels great!
