Oddbean new post about login | logout I think nostr is hard for any non nym women who aren’t used to somewhere so small that they are easily targeted. My friends and I can talk all day publicly on twitter with no one giving a damn because of how big it is.
Nostr also doesn't have a very good DM system so that makes it even harder I'm sure.
I guess you could start a private relay for just you and your friends and exclude everyone else. That woild remove all trolls and bots. Tho that's a whole other technical hurdle and probably a pain in the ass to swap relays back and forth between public and private
I just can’t in good faith get them on nostr, they’re not used to the bullshit like i am, and are sweet summer children who i strive to protect from the harsh world on small scale protocols. But then i feel bad, because i want nostr to grow, how can it grow without me showing it to friends?
