🧵 1/10
It’s been a week since I was scammed and my digital wallets were drained. This week has been full of lessons—both good and bad. I want to share what’s happened and what I’ve learned. Hopefully, it helps others avoid similar traps. 💡
2/10
First, a word of caution: after my last thread, I received tons of comments and DMs from "crypto recovery specialists" claiming they could get my money back. Sadly, all of them were scammers, just looking to profit off my misery. Please be extra careful. 🚩
3/10
On the positive side, I had several people reach out who had encountered similar scams. It felt amazing to help others avoid falling into the same trap I did. If sharing my story saved even one person from this, it was worth it. 🙌
4/10
Security-wise, I've tightened everything up:
✔️ 2FA on all accounts
✔️ Every password updated
✔️ Funds moved to cold storage
It’s a reminder that staying secure online requires constant vigilance. 🔒
5/10
In terms of personal lessons, I wish I had asked someone for advice before downloading that file. It seems so obvious now, but in the moment, I trusted too easily. It’s OK to double-check and ask for second opinions when something feels off. 🧠
6/10
Being scammed can send you into a dark place. I’ve struggled with blaming myself—feeling "stupid" for falling for it. But here's the truth: It can happen to anyone. In those moments, having someone to talk to really helps. Don’t suffer in silence. 💬
7/10
That’s why I want to offer my ear to anyone who thinks something is off in their conversations—on X, Discord, or wherever. If you’ve fallen victim to a scam and need to talk, I’m here. Together, we can stop these scammers and begin to heal. 💪
8/10
I’m even considering starting a free weekly newsletter that covers:
1️⃣ The latest scam cases and attempts
2️⃣ Safety guidelines in crypto
3️⃣ Other helpful resources
Would anyone be interested? ✉️
9/10
I’m also thinking of launching a Discord community for real-time discussions, scam alerts, and mutual support. It could be a safe space for victims and those who want to stay informed. What do you think? Would this be helpful? 🤔
10/10
A week later, I’m wiser and more cautious, but also more open to helping others avoid these traps. If you feel something’s off in a conversation or have been scammed, reach out. Let’s look out for each other. 💙 #ScamAwareness #StaySafe #CryptoSecurity

🧵 1/10 🚨 Warning to the Crypto Community: I recently fell victim to a scam that cost me everything I had built in the crypto space. Here’s my experience to help others avoid the same fate. #CryptoScam #CryptoAwareness
2/10 💔 A scammer approached me on Twitter, offering a job as a Discord moderator for their Solana web game. I was excited about the opportunity and didn’t see the red flags.
3/10 📥 To take the job, I was instructed to download and install a game file on my laptop. This was the moment I unknowingly opened the door for disaster. Always be cautious about downloading files from unknown sources!
4/10 🔒 Once I installed the file, the scammer gained access to all my crypto wallets. In mere minutes, they stole all my Bitcoin, Runes, and various crypto tokens.
5/10 💸 The losses included:
Multiple Bitcoin ordinals, including: NodeMonk 7 RSIC miners Bitcoin Punk Ordinal Rabbit 1/1
A V1 Punk
Honeybadger
Bitrioters
6/10 😢 It’s been hard to sleep the past two nights. Everything I had built over years vanished in moments. But I refuse to let this define me.
7/10 🌟 I truly believe there are more good people in the crypto space than bad actors. A special thank you to @joeordinals and @daytripper for reaching out and offering support. Your kindness means the world!
8/10 💪 I’m committed to rebuilding. My focus is now 100% on Bitcoin, Runes, and Ordinals, as I believe that’s where the next cycle will be. I’ll also prioritize my physical and mental health through calisthenics and meditation.
9/10 🙌 If sharing my story can help even one person avoid a scam, it’s worth it. I’m not looking for handouts, but if you want to support my recovery journey, feel free to zap me or send any Runes, Ordinals, or rare sats to: bc1pvmusv36eahncewxkan0rrpyssv0fvvvdllqpkws5u59ns24lfgxqfa5vq4
10/10 🤝 And if you want to show support without spending anything, just follow me. It lets me know there are people out there who care. I’m determined to come out of this stronger and healthier. Updates to follow. #WAGMI
Balaji's recent Network State Conference in Singapore was quite interesting.
TLDR: It's possible to form a new company or new team, but what about a new country?
Pop-up villages/cities being formed in Europe, US & Latin America with their own (simplified) regulations and cryptocurrencies used instead of fiat.

When there's so much chaos around different protocols being built around #Bitcoin, you need someone to break it down and cut through the noise. Thank you @1NSCR1BED for great post and I fully agree on the 2 winners: Ordinals for art and Runes for tokens. L1 is where the action is.

Another banger from Michael Saylor, well worth 50 minutes of your time.
My key takeaways:
- M2 supply is better metric for cost of capital than CPI. S&P 500 performance = M2 trend
- Bitcoin to reach 7% of global capital mkt by 2045 (1 $BTC = $13M)
- #Bitcoin is digital energy

Always great listening to Max Keiser. He has some wild ideas but makes also many solid points. My takeaways from the discussion:
- at some point, #Bitcoin will be priced in gold and energy (kW?)
- once fiat collapses, we will see the Ark block, where $BTC price will 3X instantly

I think people have seen how anti-crypto Biden's administration has been and are concerned we will have 4 years of the same Operation Chokepoint if Kamala gets elected.
I'm 11 months away from hitting 50. Looking back, I think one of the best times of my life was at 35 - having some life experience already, but still in physical peak condition.
Now I'm challenging myself to maintain great condition as long as possible - still going strong!
Played as a striker, central defender, right defender and goalkeeper in today's football match and was selected as man of the match! When you're closer to 50, the main achievement is if there are no broken bones and you can walk after the game. But this MoM selection was a nice bonus.
Football is still the greatest game on Earth
Scottie Pippen had a nice tweet in X, which I would like to share here: "Your normal day is someone's dream, so be thankful everyday".
Also, another from Pitbull: "Everyday above ground is a great day, remember that"
I don't care who created the Ordinals. What I do care about, though, is that #Bitcoin and everything built on it (Ordinals, runes, etc.) will continue to grow and get more mindshare.
Having these petty turf wars is not helpful for the cause

Even though this seesaw #Bitcoin price between $55-58k frustrates the he'll out of me, I try to remind myself that it gives me a chance to stack cheap sats.
Why is it, that I still feel almost embarrassed to publicly say that I'm a bitcoiner? Is it just me, or is owning Bitcoin and supporting it over fiat being stigmatised?
People around me seem to think that I'm part of some crazy tribe or cult, when I try to get them to listen to Saylor, Jack Mallers, Natalie Brunell, Lyn Alden, or some other bitcoiners presentations.
When is Bitcoin going to stop having this negative "get rich quick ponzi scheme" stamp on it?

I feel just like the guys in The Big Short, where you realize that something is really wrong, but large masses are completely oblivious to it. In the movie it was about mortgage sub-prime market and today it's Bitcoin vs. fiat.
Saw this somewhere and thought it was funny: Remote meetings are like Spiritism sessions.
"Kate, are you there? Let us hear from you"
"John, we can't see you. if you can hear us, give us a sign"

Damn. Yesterday was a tough day. Heard back from 2 roles I had applied & was on final stretch that I wasn't selected but was a "strong no.2" in both.
One of the roles would have meant moving back to Dubai, which had got me super excited. Guess it wasn't meant to be in the end.
Times like these, I try to keep in mind the saying: "When you can't control what's happening, challenge yourself to control the way you respond to what's happening".
I will continue to put myself in best possible physical & mental shape I can be & actively look for other opportunities. If I was a strong no.2 in these cases, I can be the no.1 in the next one.
I am officially a wholecoiner! Crazy to think how few people can actually reach that level globally. I decided to make a small gamble and stake my $BTC in Bitstamp for 2% annual yield. "Not your keys, not your crypto", I know, but willing to tolerate the risk for the time being.

I have 8 miners, but don't want to play lottery & mine on my own. I'm in F2 Pool, which gets me steady yield on daily basis.
I hope Ordinals & Runes transactions will go much higher from today's levels. That will increase the transaction fees to overcome reduced block subsidies after the halving.
I'm patiently for Bitcoin to break out of this $57k-62k range. It will probably happen in September, once FED starts lowering interest rates and we're back to money printing.
At that time, look for $MSTR to have stellar performance and main runes ($DOG, $runecoin) to go on hyperdrive
I've done that for both of my daughters. Rental cars in EU are still cheaper, if you take manual instead of automatic. Helps them to save money and they can also drive my classic cars when I retire, ha ha!
I really enjoy and appreciate digital art and this piece from Entangled Realms collection by @otograf_jp is great example. You can only get it if you own one of the 500 pairs of Bitcoin Sneakers (which I do).
The piece is inscribed on an early 2009 sat and is living on-chain forever.

thanks for the advice! love both of the collections and the idea of acquiring a matching pair is really interesting. This is a good time to be buying Ordinals art, as the hype has come down vs. what it was in Q1
I consider Runecoin to be one of the best opportunities to make serious financial gains over the next 2-5 years (besides Bitcoin, obviously). Here is a great article on possible future use cases for runecoin.
I have massive respect towards Scribe for sharing his ideas about Runes & Runecoin / RSICs. #NFA

I've been 11 years on my #Bitcoin and crypto journey. Finally start to believe that I can reach FIRE within 3-5 years. My building blocks are:
1. Mt.Gox payout received month ago
2. 8 Bitmain miners cloud mining more $BTC via Compass Mining
3. Collecting NFTs & Ordinals with provenance (also rare sats)
4. Healthy bag of key cryptos and most prominent runes (runecoin & DOG)
5. fiat reserves to catch new opportunities
My goal is to accumulate 6 Bitcoins by 2028. That should generate sufficient yield to afford a comfortable life.
