@bb3235e7 I totally agree. Many of the Japanese people we met were a little shy when it came to speaking English, but they were very nice and polite. I am currently planning another trip. 😊
@cca97760 I totally agree. Many downtown areas turn into gigantic baking ovens every summer, due to the lack of green spaces. Luckily, Pittsburgh has quite a few trees, but it could still use more.
@9e00b91e totally agree. As far as visiting France, so far, I have only been in Strasbourg. Their cathedral is at least partially Gothic. I have been in Germany multiple times and visited the Cologne Cathedral, which is large Gothic building, several times. But visiting France is definitely on my list. BTW, we just came back from St Pierre et Miquelon and visited French Polynesia last year and Guadeloupe and Martinique a few years ago. While definitely French, there is no Gothic architecture.
@61194d8e hehe, that's funny. I just looked through my photos and it is unbelievable how many photos of the plastic food I took. 😀
Like you, we also had some Western food. We like Japanese food, but not for several weeks nonstop.
@9e00b91e the Cathedral of Learning is definitely built in Gothic style. This photo is of one of the Nationality Classrooms and it is definitely not Gothic at all. Sorry for the confusion.
