finally setup bluebubbles and can get imessage on android. it’s actually a pretty well done app on android even if it has the same energy of a windows app. 😛

YouTube's new mini player (the one you get when you swipe down) gets a big nope from me. It reminds me of the awful minimized ad video players on the web. The previous version was less annoying and genuinely stayed out of the way for navigation. #youtube

I know for most people there is no competition between WhatsApp and Signal. To me, it's a race between when WhatsApp supports usernames and signal supports multi-phone (they already support tablets and desktop companions, it's about adding another phone)
@openvibe.bsky.social is now officially my favorite x-posting client. With threads launched, I hope they now focus on multi-thread x-posting. It’s a complex problem but I think they have the technical chops to solve it.

as someone who thinks you’re a good investor because of DCA, I personally think that you are following a risk profile that you are comfortable with. and if you think you will be comfortable changing the parameters on _any_ of the vectors you identified, what prevents you from making a bet even if it’s not with sats today?
I continue to recommend the web app for all the text (and image and video) based networks if you have an iPhone / any modern android device. It’s a LOT less tracking and you can enable ad blockers on top of that if you want to. Finally, it will also make the whole process a lot more intentional.

- don’t want autoplaying video / other such accessibility control, your user agent (browser) will allow additional tweaks.
the best web app so far is bsky.app. What would make it even better would be the addition of haptics support for things like like, post etc. This will only improve android experience as ios still prevents web haptics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Mastodon and Threads have decent web apps. However, threads doesn’t allow disabling media/gif autoplay and mastodon design could do with some love.

YouTube is the only one that centers the video vertically and horizontally properly. Netflix has a phase but then seems to correct itself.
I still don’t think enough people on the web appreciate the power of haptics even in web design especially as haptic motors on android phones have crossed the rubicon into being useful and the web on android allows you to design some delightful experiences.

Since iOS 18, I am facing some "syncing with iCloud paused" issue with Messages. There doesn't seem to be any recent reddit threads that are discussing this. Checking to see if anyone else faced this issue and/or have tips to try? #apple #ios
