The price literally means nothing , you’re right. The best way to look at it is - if you store your value in it at X price, then you get around 50% ARR on your investment on average. The price X is irrelevant. The guaranteed AAR is a product of the inflationary mechanism built into fiat- the same thing that makes it worthless and impossible to store value in itself , unless you like holding melting ice cubes with an ARR of -8%
For sure.. I used to use CC but I find Strike is a better service overall. Strike gives you more sats and you can send to on chain address with no fees (it takes 24 hours , I’m not sure if CC do this)
Over 1 month off X now , #Nostr only feels like a weight has been lifted off my brain. Thoroughly cleansing and something about it feels fresh- hard to describe, but the overall impact on my wellbeing so far has been surprisingly positive. I am enjoying the non-Bitcoin topics slowly creeping onto the protocol as well. It’s hard to envisage a future where centralised social media platforms have much of a use case.
Bitcoin fixes so many problems that fiat is the root cause of. Before studying Bitcoin, I often felt despair when thinking about humanities woes. Now in light of knowing Bitcoin as the solution, many of these problems will be whittled down to non-existence. Did the same last month. Now Nostr and occasional article on Substack. It’s honestly refreshing to not feel like im addicted to crack, which in hindsight is how I was using X.
Though I agree with most of this statement- I can’t help but feel there needs to be welfare support for those who have been negatively affected from the current theft based system. To simply “fix” this system, and allow the underprivileged to suffer from the inevitable fallout and collateral damage of the unraveling, would be unethical. Through no fault of their own, people have been stolen from , and to leave them to deal with this reality is not the right way to go.
Altcoiner would arguably have a “better” understanding of Bitcoin than no coiner. Therefore arguably help adoption and regulatory side of things over the short / medium term. I would say I’m more fearful of the altcoiner over the long term though… either way I believe both parties are getting orange pilled eventually.
