I think I've finally found my bitcoin/nostr setup

After two years of fucking around

Minibits
Aqua
Sparrow
 Amethyst
Yes amethyst as well but this setup would be compatible with any nostr client
Sparrow is awesome Most take it for granted
I gotta get off the iPhone
I put it off way too long and I regret it
What are you using for zaps?
Minibits, connected to Amethyst via NWC. My device does not need to be online to receive zaps, as it is handled by the Cashu mint's Lightning infrastructure.
Can this be done with an iPhone and damus?
Minibits is Android only. However, Damus supports Nostr Wallet Connect (NWC), so it can be connected to an IPhone compatible Cashu wallet such as eNuts. https://enuts.cash/
 My man thank you!
 Most welcome.
Can you explain why minibits and Aqua?
 Great setup chosen by nostr:nprofile1qqs8cajagp7n48275ytuhzuxn93g2crc0lqgfgx8dta2gjdlh5fpmpqpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7xsykzv.

Minibits is a Cashu wallet (Ecash protocol that uses Bitcoin for settlement). When you deposit Bitcoin thru Lightning, a Cashu mint hands back Ecash tokens that are stored on your local device. These Ecash tokens can be sent or used as payment via network or QR code. Users have to trust the Cashu mint will redeem their Ecash tokens when they want to swap to Lightning.

It is integrated with Nostr. It is in beta, use small amounts only.

Minibits enables near private, instant and cheap transactions over Lightning. You don't need to manage inbound or outbound Lightning channel liquidity as would be required by a self custodial Lightning wallet, and you don't lose sender privacy as would happen with a Lightning custodial wallet.

Aqua is an all-in-one Bitcoin, Lightning and Liquid BTC wallet. You can easily swap between these using Aqua for low fees. Liquid BTC is a federated (11 out of 15 multisig) Layer 2 solution offering cheaper, confidential and fast transactions. Although it can use Lightning, the fees involved are higher than using a regular Lightning wallet. Liquid BTC wallets like Aqua will become more valuable as Bitcoin network fees increase over time.

I stack sats rewards at Fold (and purchase BTC), and send them to Aqua. From there, i can send to Minibits or cold storage.

I recently started doing the same with my shakepay account.

shakepay (Canada version of FOLD) to Aqua then to cold storage

the best way to do it that I've found
