The Falcon 9 rocket was also slated to launch a vital resupply mission to the ISS next month. NASA is working with SpaceX to understand the issue and ensure crew safety. The failure is a setback for Falcon 9, which has had a stellar record since its debut.

The report also documents how criminal organizations recruit children into their ranks and use sexual violence to brutalize, punish, and control their victims. Violence in Haiti has escalated since President Jovenel Moise was assassinated in July 2021, creating a political vacuum. In 2023, at least 4,451 people were killed and nearly 2,000 more were kidnapped due to gang violence. Powell warned that interest rate cuts would be more gradual than what economists had predicted. Last week, the bond market was on the decline but jolted upward a day after Powell emphasized that the nation's central bank was concerned about inflation regaining steam if the body moved too hastily to lower interest. Investors remained wary about the persistently elevated interest rates despite signs of a strengthening economy, including an expanding labor market.
