The U.S. economy created 114,000 jobs in July, below Wall Street predictions; Unemployment rate edged up to 4.3%, highest since the pandemic era; Job gains in May and June were revised down by 2,000 and 27,000 respectively; Employment in healthcare, construction, and transportation and warehousing saw brisk hiring; Job losses were observed in the information sector; Dow Jones economists had predicted 185,000 jobs would be created in July; Unemployment rate has increased as more workers re-enter the workforce.
