https://smilemoji.cash to test this out. You'll need a regular NFC card or tag with at least 4Kb of storage.
Please DO NOT use smilemoji.cash as a real wallet because i will take it down once the PR is merged!

People in the global south use stablecoins because they denominate everything in dollars and are not comfortable with Bitcoin yet. Now if you use a stablechannel that runs on bitcoin rails that's better because they will be on boarded to Bitcoin regardless. It's a temporary measure until everyone values everything in SATs.
Yea I have seen it. Basically they poison the the set with fake outputs so the ring you choose then has a high change of being poisoned as well. Hilarious.
Nobody is gonna run their own node. Better stick to coinjoins.
I guess when ln nodes running cashu mints start to get a serious amount of users they'll offer pretty good anonymity guarantees.
Would be pretty hard to trace someone through it.
I've been increasingly considering moving to el Salvador in order to survive a more and more plausible nuclear war.
It embodies the perfect combination of a Bitcoin country and a place no nuclear warhead would be interested in targeting.
Long live the Unix epoch.
But exactly how long?

well the cards i am using here are 1Kb. It works if the number of coins is small. So if you flash, for example, 128 sats (1 coin) works fine. But if you flash 127 sats (7 coins) it will fail.
So I have also written a tool specifically for merchants that need to request a payment of a certain amount of sats. Basically what it does is:
* Read the card
* Receive the token -> generates fresh coins
* Split the fresh coins in amount to keep and change
* Try and flash the change to the card
- if that fails, print a qr code with the change to the screen instead.
Terrifying. I have studied these things and I know they are just glorified text-autocomplete but I can't help feeling bad.
Uhm there is a terrifying game called Soma that is based around these concepts.
Imagine if having your credit card cloned would mean you only lose the money you have in it at that time. You don't have do freeze it, you don't have to get a new one. None of that hassle.
