After the leap to Apple Silicon with the M1 chip the greatest leap the Mac has made in a decade is these gorgeous screensavers and how they settle into wallpaper.
@bb1a99d2 Heh. I did think of that. In their defence the Democrats are oft pulled apart because they’re a broad coalition. The Republicans, at this point, are being torn apart because their purpose has become to tear things down. Proving governance can’t work has come home to roost.
@a6ff0b2b That second user is curious. Maybe the window server is doing a bunch of work for both users? If you’re feeling like exploring maybe try logging in a bunch of users and see if the behaviour gets worse in some relation to that.
@a6ff0b2b Wild. I remember asking about the USB overdrive stuff you’d used at one point. It never occurred to me that the actual mouse could be doing it! Perhaps it triggers interrupts so fast the Mac Pro USB stack gets jammed up with flood it didn’t expect? I’d be curious about other high speed mice.
@c3f6e3f1 Yeah. I appreciate that the iPhone is a great camera. And I know that great cameras need knobs to achieve the results you’re looking for. And those knobs have fancy labels. But Polaroids were a hit for a reason and I think the iPhone camera app is trending towards knobs than point and shoot. Not sure what to suggest in terms of UI though.
@c3f6e3f1 That whole mess is so spectacularly dumb. I can’t believe he screwed up so bad and then didn’t want to step down. Was it intentional? Probably not. But it’s so dumb you’ve gotta go.
Naming things on computers is hard. Naming shader uniforms is doubly so.
“multipliesWeirdlySpecificThingInversePercentageAsUCharWithZeroAt127”
or:
“unmarkedKnob6” which at least has an air of mystery to it.
