Start9 folks shit ...
 Spite is a powerful thing.

I have never wanted to make a start9 package more than I do in this moment.

Also interesting and related, there is a sweet spot in time for your species to even know anything outside your solar system exists. Soon after the big bang, not enough time for sentience to be able to grasp what they are seeing. To long after the big bang, the expansion of the universe put all those distant stars too far away to see and you only see your own solar system when you look up.
Same concept I was talking about.

Only the fact that we have only ever seen it expand. I'm not saying that in the smug "duh" sense. If we found out tomorrow that it oscillates expanding and contracting in very slow cycles and just started contracting back to a finite point, I'd believe it. The behavior would be very wavelike and physics loves waves.
This is awesome. The plus version has amazing specs that means you'll likely be able to keep using it for a LONG time if they keep pushing the firmware. Now I need another #hamradio

Their own token pegged, I didn't make it past the first bullet point until I was done.
I used fedimint for 5 minutes to play once, never used cashu.

I reflexively don't trust currency pegs to hold because history says they never do.

I also reflexively don't trust anything with its own token. Why did you need a token? I'm usually unimpressed with the answer.
Drivechains and ordinals are a thing because the shitcoin scam engine is losing steam as most everyone has been scammed or no someone who has.

The only solution for the shitcoiners to keep the scams running is to increase the affinity to bitcoin of their affinity scams.
Typical shitcoiner answer. Why go the path of enabling more scams instead of working on improving lightning or getting Ark ready for mass use?
That is the wonder of bitcoin. Feel free to fork now and run a chain that supports drivechains. I won't run it. We both get exactly what we asked for.

Trying to make me support drivechains is authoritarian. Simply stating clearly that I won't doesn't make any attempt to control anyone else.

I've spent enough time around shitcoiners to see how losing hurts them. I don't want to play any role in giving the people trying to hurt them any new angle or help.
Also, LOL at lightning is a dead end from someone who doesn't even use it enough to set up zaps.
How do they know it doesn't work without using it? Those of us who use it every day tend to disagree about how well it works.
I noticed, it cost you some free sats.

I know I'll never change your mind either. Here for onlookers who are on the fence to see the other side of the argument.

I don't know what you are talking about but you sound an awful lot like the people who want to turn bitcoin into a shitcoin.

Have you considered that maybe no one else wants what you are selling?
Anyone who demands yield from their bitcoin is not only not one of us, they are our enemy. They are saying they deserve to get value from society without giving any value back.

The entire point of bitcoin is that no one gets money from society without giving value to society.

How to run a big relay profitably and solve spam at the same time. Charge 1 sat per note.

Option...
People pay to send spam 1 sat TX to every node on the lightning network regularly, that's 17k or so per message. Often enough that there are services to help you do it.

Will the effort put into spam go up, yeah. Don't think a sat per note will make it go away.
Pay me to comment on my note could be interesting. It changes how people interact with the network though. For some it would be a wash, put 100 sats in a pass them around forever. Big accounts get paid. Small accounts have to pay to be here or get bumped down to lurkers.

Hackers are a constant source of fear and bad PR in the mind of the average person. People who know how to open and fix electronics are already suspicious to most, unless they want you to to fix something of theirs for free.

The media drives this heavily with their portrayals always being criminal motivations and never curiosity, tinkering, or repair.

The recent supply chain attacks involved adding an explosive device to the air space in an electronic device. They are easily thwarted by opening new devices you get to see what is in there, if you know enough to know what should be in there.

I suspect we will soon see a new wave of media slandering hackers that looks a lot like the privacy "if you have nothing to hide" argument.

Why is your "warranty void" sticker damaged? Why would you need to look in there unless you are doing something that would make them target you?

If you see a damaged warranty sticker, say something.
My predictions of the future got far more accurate when I stopped assuming good intentions by the government and started assuming government and all other organizations are just individuals acting in their own often short sighted self interest.

This isn't some nihilistic dead end. We can design systems to create good behavior in that scenario, like bitcoin. If we assume otherwise and don't build those systems we will continue to be unhappy with our results.
It looks like it would take a bit more than a basic visual inspection. A chemical added to the batteries, which would still look like batteries.

As long as the detonator is just code in the existing hardware, this would be very hard to spot.

The fact that most mining organizations aren't on a #bitcoin standard really tells you all you need to know about the industry.

If they aren't holding bitcoin as their primary asset, they are carpetbaggers just here for fiat gainz.

This is why home mining at any scale, even just a single #bitaxe is so important.

A bitaxe costs about the same as a node to buy and in recurring costs. Why does the current culture consider 1 mandatory and the other a big deal for people who are really dedicated.

Lets kick these carpetbaggers out by teaching them that bitcoin is the real deal and fiat brains always lose.

The #rubikscube is coming back to me. I have 5 of 9 OLL (orient last layer) algorithms for 4LLL (4 look last layer) down already. I'm remembering now how much seeing the movement pattern on the cube helps memorize the algorithms.

If you are also trying to learn, I recommend working on your last layer algorithms on a solved cube. Most will solve, unsolve, resolve or it may take a few more repetitions but they cycle back around. It makes it easier to see if you made a mistake in your practice.
