@Eòlach yeah it’s not official but most people use Arch to use unsupported sketchy packages and void as xbps src as a similar alternative, I find xbps faster than pacman and I find the syntax clean
@Dr. NEETzsche, GED You always operate under the assumption that I’m participating in whatever has rustled your jimmies. I’ve never been to any of these conferences. It would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic to see you grasping at straws.
@Dr. NEETzsche, GED
If my sex/race works against me in any way during any corporate/university process (it does), I objectively am.
It’s just a conference. Not everything is an invitation for you to go on another rant about DEI and how unfair the world is from your PoV. You completely derailed the original point of the post because you get emotional over this topic.
You view having to compete with white men on a level playing field a threat to you, and it’s because you’re inferior to us.
It’s ironic for you to insist that I’m discriminating against you because you hate the idea of these conferences, while discriminating against me because of my sex and race. Let’s not pretend that it’s the first time you’ve gone out of your way to do this to me, because you did it a lot in DMs and other public threads before. And yet, you have the audacity to say that the world is set against you.
@Dr. NEETzsche, GED
Especially considering how you’re openly trying to engage in discrimination while crying about those who bypass it
You’re not being discriminated against, you’re being quoted off of things you have said in various chats or on your own profile. My post isn’t about guys “bypassing” anything. Reading comprehension helps, you should read the screenshot of the original post I was actually replying to.
Do you actually think discrimination is somehow better when it’s to your benefit or are you just a psychopath looking for a pretext?
You view women creating their own spaces and events as a threat to you, you’re not that different from other groups who share the exact same viewpoint. :shranny:
@Dr. NEETzsche, GED Are you arguing against laws criminalizing sex based discrimination? Do you think that a law automatically stops discrimination from occurring?
You operate under a worldview where you are the ultimate victim for being a huwite man. Life hasn’t treated you well and we must all hear about it. Do you want a gold star? 🥇
@Dr. NEETzsche, GED God forbid women network in a space together when men have dominated the computing industry since post WWII. I don’t understand why that bothers you.
Are you a mens rights activist btw?
@Dr. NEETzsche, GED I don’t think you understand what these conferences are for. I won’t engage because I know what your views are and that you believe that white men are the only demographic alongside the model minority you deem worthy of a technical role.
So, men who bypass bullshit gender filters by pretending to be non-binary or pretending to be “trans” are in the right.
I don’t see “pretending” to be any more or less harmful than claiming to be apart of a demographic you’re not apart of. People love to scapegoat pretending to disqualify someone from certain demographics, like religion. “No true scottsman”. It’s all the same in the end.
I assume this is about that conference where a straight man said we need more straight male allies; can someone please explain why individuals who identify as non-men and non-women want to be included in women’s conferences?
Legitimate answers only. This happened with Roe v Wade was overturned, you know, self identified non men and non women wanting to be included in the conversation about women’s rights.

@Eòlach@Johnny Peligro just have fun with it! it’s your site so do whatever the hell you want.
NixOS is scary to me. I may switch distros soon but void will always be my favorite.
what’s weird is how many 🇺🇦 flags and donation causes I see on random software projects
never saw that energy for any other country in an active warzone
“donate to animals in ukraine” fuck off
@Fe₂🦀₃⋅H₂🦀 @loopy pedestrian✍🏿@buy robux today :ROBUX: I’m not going to lie, the Code of Conduct stuff was the final nail in the coffin for me and it makes it extremely difficult for me to take projects seriously. I also know that the CoC was only implemented for one demographic.
Github is shit and might as well be hosting your projects directly to microsoft, unless you enjoy having your repos scraped by recruiters.
@troy ada@woodland creature :pleroma_fox_tan: tbh I’m not speaking for myself but mainly for northern Natives in Canada and America. Eating meat isn’t a problem to me or most people. Most arguments for veganism fall moot outside of the west where people raise their lifestock differently without unsanitary conditions and raperacks.
I do think vegans have a pattern of upholding animals over humans, you can see it in their blatant disregard for people with nutritional needs or who can’t access the vegan lifestyle (which is an expensive privilege). So I find it wrong to also put personal responsibility onto Indigenous people when they barely contribute to pollution or overfishing. Most don’t even have access to clean drinking water on most reservations. Even from an anthropological perspective veganism isn’t a naturally occurring phenomenon.
ik meat is a delicacy where my folks are from so the staple was always arroz y frijoles, other countries are similar but it isn’t by choice other than economic necessity. All the vegans ik are malnourished morons.
Note: forgot to mention that veganism in cosmetics is more about shortening the lifespan of products rather than morality regarding animal testing
@troy ada@woodland creature :pleroma_fox_tan: not really a victim complex moreso that militant vegans, especially the insufferable anarchist types go out of their way to ban any depictions of animal products on their fedi instances won’t address that they won’t respect Indigenous sovereignty. Vaxxers are another example of this.
Going vegan is the same as using paper straws or driving a Tesla/ hybrid vehicle. It doesn’t address the source of issues regarding sustainability and the agriculture industry in the west. While vegans shop at wholefoods or sprouts there is still labor exploitation of quinoa farmers, and there is still deaths of critters that they won’t account for.
@Eòlach I see the BSD comparison a lot but I wouldn’t know because I’ve never used BSD systems before, Void does support libgc over musl if you need better hardware support. I found it comparable to a bare arch install if you opt out of a DE.
@Mean Girl 💅@8f132458 for the enchiladas or chicken stock? My mom taught me how to make the enchiladas. We use this can, you could make your own sauce if you wanted to but these are easy and quick, hence the rotisserie chicken, otherwise you need to boil the chicken beforehand to prepare it. Also this sauce isn't spicy at all imo, so if you want to make it spicy you need to add stuff to it.
You basically fry corn tortillas in a mixture of oil and the sauce, then you take out the tortillas and now them out ion a flat surface or tray, and then add chicken and cheese inside, then roll them up into shape. You can put them on a tray to serve or store for a few days. Add cheese and sour cream on top if desired.
