Most people are unaware of the waste management problems here, including many of the people living here. It had little effect on the elections. The Puerto Rican areas in Florida were still won by Trump, and it had a minimal impact on the election. It also helped that Biden came out the next day and called all Trump supporters trash.

The lady who cuts my hair is from Ukraine. She told me that her mother passed away recently from a heart attack and she hasn't been able to see her since 2019 because of COVID-19, then the war. Since the war started, I have seen the physical impact it's had on her just from the stress alone. She has probably lost 20 pounds and aged a lot since the war started. She has a lot of family in Ukraine. The last time I saw her, she said she was voting for Trump. I told her to be positive that things would get better. I think in 2020 there was fraud on both sides; even Trump's numbers were too high for the average. This time around, it was harder to cheat. With no more Covid restrictions, there can be poll watchers everywhere. A bunch of laws and court battles since 2020 have ensured less mail-in voting fraud. It seems like it was also too big to rig. Maybe you are right, though - maybe they did not want to win and will stop faking the job numbers now and let the economy crash under Trump. We shall see how it plays out. I'd be happy with small wins, like Ross out on day one and RFK Jr. making major reforms at the FDA, and replacing older Supreme Court justices who are going to retire with younger ones to ensure there is a majority of conservative judges. We only had one test remaining. She said she was experiencing period pain and that it would likely yield another negative result. So, I already fell asleep when she woke me up to ask if I could help her read the test. I wasn't fully awake yet so my mind wasn't processing much. I got out of bed to look at the test results, seeing two lines with one being very faint. That still counts as positive result. Not wanting to get my hopes too high, we drove to Walgreens at 2am and purchased more tests. Did we take enough tests? 😂 All of them came back positive. Tears of joy. I'm going to become a Dad! What an incredible feeling it is.
