They turned that joke into a political opportunity. I live in Puerto Rico, and it was played 24/7 on the news. Most people are unaware of the waste management problems here, including many of the people living here. It had little effect on the elections. The Puerto Rican areas in Florida were still won by Trump, and it had a minimal impact on the election. It also helped that Biden came out the next day and called all Trump supporters trash. 

 However, I still think whoever vetted the jokes was dumb to let that one be allowed.  Should of been clear as day the left would of used that as an opportunity.  He is funny though he is known for aggressive jokes.
