@ec36a502 I haven't noticed many big ones lately but it seems they're always short of something. I'm putting the blame firmly on the supermakets and the price they're willing to pay for stuff rather than the Government and the B thing.
Why grow those watery tasteless things for the Brits when you can get a better profit growing stuff for people willing to pay the asking price?
Huh? When did flex-PCBs get so cheap? This may be easier for a project I have in mind than my previous thoughts, if I can get the power rail tracks sorted in 2l for the available thickness. Yes, there will be a lot of LEDs.
Cooling may also be an issue of course.
@ef6bffd2 I was 16 at the time. Got to see her a ten years ago and again last year and it was glorious. I understand some of the meanings in the songs more now that I'm middle aged but to me the songs are still as fresh and relevant as they ever were. Glad you enjoyed it!
@af279435 I've forgotten most of the ones I would have used as they were all fairly common back then. I was s relative late starter with my first computer being an A500. Didn't really get into computers until we got a PC in the earlyish 90s. 486DX2-66.
After feeling as fine as can usually be expected I woke up a bit snotty and it's got worse as the day has gone on. *SIGH* Braintickler test later then when I get home.
Go camping they said. The fresh air will be good for you they said.
@5879ad81@ec36a502 It would be a surprise to me too given that public speaking really isn't my thing. Perhaps I should get out of my comfort zone though.
@8fa42a86 From that description then I'm going to guess S&W. Their double lock system is shite and easy to fuck up. Even a bit of dust can break it.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a geek about this stuff.
One thing I like about things and change is that I always manage to find the same people online without even looking for them. Some people here I've known for over 25 years yet every time I move to another platform they turn up without me having to search for them. Good people always find each other.
It still breaks my mind that I'm still friends with people I know from before proper Internet times. And don't piss these people off - they run the Internet.
Looks like I'll be camping with a load of nerds tomorrow, only one of whom I know, another that I've briefly met and some of the others I've only seen on stage. My introvertness is twitching.
They're all good people though so it'll be good... although I suspect I'll make an arse out of myself as usual.
Iesu Grist. I now know what the wholesale price of a kg of coke is. I can see why people do it.
Sadly although I quite like money I don't think taking it or dealing it fits my lifestyle.
This isn't funny anymore.
I'm not anti-drugs in general but these people are not people you want to be around. Fucking arseholes.
Even the barstaff have cottened on to what's going on.
Bit annoyed that I'm going to be away tomorrow and can't go on the protest march to retain Wrexham's second full time fire engine and firefighters but never mind. My heart will be there.

My constant current PSU design (300mA FS) is stable down to the hidden digit of the HP3456A with no sign of drift so now I can prove their device is shit. A couple of uA of flickering perhaps but that's nothing in the scale of things.
I had to read a transcript of a corporate meeting on electronics manufacturing and component procurement from my corporate overlords earlier.
One highlight was "So we'll be getting some bombs* to experiment with". I asked my boss if I could be seconded to that project.
*BOMs (Bill of Materials)
I"m still not sure what "The focus now is on the Romanian Blonde" is meant to mean.
If this is the state of automated transcription software then we have nothing to fear from AI.
@5879ad81@ec36a502 Having thought about it, the only instrument that would be viable to set up in a field surrounded by spiders is pretty boring to watch. The subject matter however, could be engaging. I'll refrain from mentioning it in public at the moment as it would then be immediately obvious who my employer is.
@e77df6d7 I'm wondering if the blue band aids we use in the UK if you're dealing with food would work because they're designed to be detected by metal detectors. Sadly I have none to hand to find out.
@cbc73536 No fires. I do actually have knives somewhere but I won't be taking them. It'll be good to try and get some social skills back again I suppose.
@ec36a502 It's more the time it would take to set something up, which for a 30 minute slot would be a bit dumb. I may have a word with our T&I engineers.
A talk could obviously be done without equipment but that's just boring when you don't get to look at shiny things and blinkenlights.
