I just stopped at a local bakery, whose recently widowed wife now operates alone. The customer ahead of me quietly tipped her $1000, hugged her and left. In tears, she said that will pay for the rest of her husband’s funeral. Such a beautiful act of kindness.

Poverty can be more than just willful disregard for opportunities: it’s sometimes a lifetime of tertiary layers of soul-crushing decisions, bad breaks, compounding consequences, blinding self-defeating inner dialogue that few have the self awareness and strength to overcome. I know people like that and it’s heartbreaking. I’ll never be able to “orange pill” them as it’s impossible for them to see beyond their circumstances. “Lost your wife/job/truck/house/license/wallet & phone while in jail bro? Fuck man, how can I even send you some money now? Shit bro!“
I get that the negativity on X can be exhausting, but parsing it out to find the signal has been an enormous benefit to many newcomers as well, myself included. If all of the best bitcoin thinkers leave the platform with the highest reach, will education & adoption of the next class suffer? I guess one, maybe two cycles is all the tour of duty most can stand. This is understandable, but I still hate to see it.
1. Realizing how & why the fiat money system is broken regardless of political party interventions.
2. How humanity has never truly had desirable absolute scarcity until bitcoin.
3. Nothing stops this train. h/t @LynAlden
I honestly don't know what you are talking about. Custodial lighting like WoS, Muun etc. is simple enough, but self-hosted lighting is not for the average non-technically inclined. There is so much more room for improvement.
