Got approached by one of those salesmen in a Target while in California on a road trip. I told him I definitely wasn't interested in what he was selling, but thought to try and drop some small orange pills. Told him I'd send him bitcoin equal to the dollar amount of whatever his commission would be if he'd listen to a short pitch and download a wallet (I had him get Strike app from nostr:nprofile1qqsvf646uxlreajhhsv9tms9u6w7nuzeedaqty38z69cpwyhv89ufcqpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp08we5fd and sign up) and then text me.
He texted me several days later. I sent him the sats.
5 months later he randomly texts me again to thank me. It doesn't take much. Keep evangelizing the orange coin, folks.

Maybe I'm just out of touch because I never use Apple/Google Pay and still use cards, but I think it would help with adoption as medium of exchange (for consumers and vendors) if we could somehow get a physical card (like satscards) that can use swipe/tap-to-pay, but the card is somehow tied to a lightning/ecash wallet. Could start with Strike users having their own card tied to their wallet (I would love a cool black card with the Strike logo).
Next level would be for more technical users to be able to set up a card that is linked to their self-custodial wallet (like Alby Hub).
Of course on the vendor side the point-of-sale apps would need to be able to support this (Like Zaprite and Square).
I don't know, I'm just thinking of ways to reduce friction for normies. Want to be able to just get a card in their hands and tell them it'll work wherever bitcoin is accepted.
Maybe this has already been thought about and I just haven't seen it yet.
Any thoughts? nostr:nprofile1qqstnem9g6aqv3tw6vqaneftcj06frns56lj9q470gdww228vysz8hqpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg6waehxw309ahx7um5wghx7unpdenk2urfd3kzuer9wcq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwvd6hyun9de6zuenedyvu6425 nostr:nprofile1qqsvf646uxlreajhhsv9tms9u6w7nuzeedaqty38z69cpwyhv89ufcqpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp08we5fd nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyfehcpn nostr:nprofile1qqsg4v34lcp7fma8huqm4w722ggdul4vqx46de3sny7ek6zvt6easnspzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0uj2pnw
"Real wages have increased in lowest quintile". How many jobs are they working ((many had to work extra jobs) and how much of those are government jobs?

He is of the group that still believes in "classical liberalism" where it's arguably classical liberalism that got us to this point.

People are also going from a 2 minute clip from a 10 minute segment and not putting into perspective of all the other things he's said over the years. Watching the full 10 minutes discussion on that issue made it much tamer. I didn't get the impression he was denigrating self-custody. He's just a realist and is talking to corporations and institutional investors. All the "Fed!" and "Statist!" stuff is childish, simplistic, reactionary.

That moment when you sit down to relax at the end of the day after the family is all in bed and you hear a distinct dripping noise that should not be...
(Turns out my kid fell asleep while waiting for the bath tub to fill up)
It was ok, I guess. I don't really like concerts (was there because wife wanted to go with some people). I can see what you mean by lead singer sabotaging thinks. He tried to be funny, and judging by the crowd most seemed to enjoy it. I guess I could say I was underwhelmed.
True. However we could possibly vote to have the boot lifted from our necks, just a bit. A brief moment of weakness to the regime may allow for openings in their defense.
