Here’s the thing about the bitcoin-Trump-govt-takeover doomers…
First, Trump doesn’t care about bitcoin or crypto that much. The argument always seems to be some big conspiracy to make a CBDC and use the bitcoin rocket to expand their reach and dominate all the KYC paper bitcoin and trap everyone in it, etc etc.
But it’s only us who put bitcoin at the center of our “plans.” They are “playing with it” because it’s this tiny side project that has been making money. Thats it. Trump is interested because there are voters he can appeal to. There is SO much honesty in the “and whatever else you are playing with” comment. He doesn’t care about any of this, and neither do the overwhelming majority of them.
It’s a bunch of opportunists that see growing numbers and so they buy an exchange, they try to dominate this and that market, etc. it’s nothing new.
Look at the stupid shitcoins they keep issuing. You think these are brilliantly laid plans? They could barely sell anything of their latest scam.
And of course when considering the exploiters of the old system, they will have more capital to dominate the new, but this doesn’t change in any way the fundamental incentive shift that occurs within the Bitcoin model.
Fiat has a corruption loophole, Bitcoin plugs that loophole.
Quit declaring failure before things even get off the ground. And quit framing Bitcoin’s importance through OUR lens instead of theirs. They don’t have that.
This is where “stay humble” shows up in practice, imo. We aren’t the most important thing in their world. We are winning and just need to put our head down and build solutions to TODAY’s problems, not throw our hands up in surrender or put all our concern in some elaborate, long term “probably going to happen” master plan.

Prioritize yourself first, then focus on family and friends, and afterward, your local community. True, lasting change begins at the smallest level—your individual self—before it can extend to a larger scale.

Let’s never forget that Trump is a politician and someone who revels in telling crowds what they want to hear. But even benign neglect of bitcoin would be an improvement. Let’s see whether he frees Ross for starters.

In many ways its good that he doesn't understand it. I think his sons understand it more but hey, they only have so much of his ear. Likely he will get some decent counsel on bitcoin, and in the meantime we have enough work to do while we hopefully stay humble and keep stacking while there's more to stack.

Ive met her at a btc conference and She does some great work, but she sees too many monsters under the bed imo.
On the latest TFTC pod I had a hard time getting through it because they kept saying we need to “push back” and “keep them accountable” but at the same time poopooing voting as a complete farce, but without saying _how_ we push back or keep them accountable. It was confusing to me. And while I love her work, it was a very noisy rip to me.

It’s about highly centralized versus decentralized. The BRICS fully understands that they have to cooperate in a network to kill off whatever deep state that it is that usurped all power in the West.
Also, although he MIGHT be selected rather than elected, Trump also at least understands these things from the perspective of a businessman. I do think that he has gotten some sort of green light because cheating THIS time would be too obvious. However, the reason for all the insane hate and spin is that they know they do not control him 100%, it’s a compromise with real risk for the hidden powers.
Now, what happens when he starts working with them the eeeevil enemies in a pragmatic manner? Further breakup of hidden powers!
Add #Bitcoin and even #Nostr in the mix and the decentralized is strong enough :-)

I suspect Trump has already done his best work for Bitcoin by turning his followers on to it. Many of them will orange pill themselves, improving their lives better than any politician could.

The topic of CBDC is probably a case of the banking families / dynasties that make up the banking cartel have two alternate realities 1. CBDC overtly (DEM) or 2. CBDC in stable coin clothing (REP)
The Lumis-Gillbrand Payment Stablecoin act that prohibits algorithmic stable coins makes fairly clear the path from stable coin to CBDC. Banks acquire / become the stablecoin issuers with increased programmability functionality.
I’m sure Trump personally doesn’t have the topic of stablecoin effectively becoming a CBDC on his radar.
When the more dystopian elements of the ‘Lumis’ stablecoins get exercised via the banking system (for example Canadian trucker protest 2.0 on steroids) it will serve to further increase lightning focus & adoption.
It's more of the same old TDS. Webb and Leetz equate any agreement with hero worship, and there's quite the air of superiority from them, like they're the only ones who know that Trump is opportunistic and two-faced, and all the bitcoiners are too stupid to see it.
