Interesting as linux6.5.5_2 boots just fine on my none FDE test void laptop.
So it seems like it has an issue with my full disk encryption whereas previous kernels don't ????
Hmm had my first big issue on #VoidLinux. My laptop wouldn't boot and stopped after unlocking the FDE once it announced it was using linux6.5.5_2. Recovery just ends in a kernel panic so I booted the previous version and all is good.
Submitted a bug report ASAP as reinstalling the kernel still yeilds the same result I never get the loading init.

How have I only just found out about this #TUI beauty !?
With features like:
asynchronous X11/Wayland clipboard synchronization. What that means is that you can copy stuff in the background and your CB clipboard will pick it all up automatically.

Just my luck ! The front of the house is nicely painted and the sun comes out after a few days of rain. Boom ! Now the house is covered in millions of midges stuck by their feet. Good thing they're biodegradable. :eyeroll:
Being a bit quiet today as I'm spending it mostly up a ladder against our two storey timber house. Yep you guessed it I'm armed with a paint brush giving the timber it's five yearly treatment. Only this time I'm using a gloss based wood stain.
I'll be needing a glass of red tonight that's for sure.
You're going to laugh, But I'm currently trapped in my study with nothing but my PC and a glass of red as I discovered a MASSIVE spider on the door frame as I entered. I quickly slammed the door. My only problem now is that my wife is out at work for the next 30mins - 1 hour. Yes I'm terrified on any spider. 😢
I'm such a muppet LOL
Crisis averted AKA House fire.
Julie is home and has dispatched of the venomous eight legged beastie with large fangs. I know I'm such a drama queen. She's still laughing now.
Right job done. That's me paid for the use of my #SourceHut account. Kind of gives me a warm fuzzy feeling knowing I'm supporting a fantastic service like this.
Right so my first task tomorrow after work is to setup an annual payment plan for the fantastic services provided to me from #SourceHut .
They not only host my git repo but my website too so it's only fair that I pay.
#OpenSource
Does anyone here use #sourcehut and pay a yearly fee ? I've recently migrated everything over and I'm wanting to setup a yearly payment but just want reassuring that it does go to towards supporting the service and it's devs. I know sounds a daft question but just wanting to see what other uses views are. Do you use this service and do you pay ?
@a0f0052b@028ddb53 I'm not sure what I'd do with one now tbh but it doesn't half bring back memories of reading the likes of the Tandy and Maplin electronics catalogues.
If I'm going retro it would have to be either Z80 or 6502 based. I once had the likes of a ZX80, spectrums all types a CPC 6128 and a trusty Apple II Europlus with 80 col card. Wish I'd still got them. 🙃
I got so excited by this litte fix on #VoidLinux qt6-webengine as gifs and videos in toots are now working when viewing on #mastodon and other sites. 🤣
Today has been a good day as Julie wanted to spend a week in November in Whitby and I managed to save us £360 on the same property that was advertised on the usual staycation website. 🙃
Just looked at the price of an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X for research purposes obviously and have suddenly come over all faint. Fetch me a chair quickly please. 👀
Not even I could come up with a good enough explanation for purchasing that to my Wife.
I like living too much so a lesser model it'll be then. 😂
@eb04af6b@c536b90d We were always attending to vessels at Lochinver for repair work even the French boats, but hardly ever now. It's mainly Mallaig, Ullapool and Kinlochbervie then Scrabster.
