Does anyone here use #sourcehut and pay a yearly fee ? I've recently migrated everything over and I'm wanting to setup a yearly payment but just want reassuring that it does go to towards supporting the service and it's devs. I know sounds a daft question but just wanting to see what other uses views are. Do you use this service and do you pay ?
@dab41b40 I pay for it and host my site with it too. I only use GitHub when I NEED to for work, but everything else is on Sourcehut.
@dab41b40 I use it and pay. to the rest of your questions I haven't liked audited the company or anything but I assume it does?
@dab41b40 I use the service professionally, and decided to pay, annually, at the highest level they made available. My (1-man-band) company pays for it (as it's a legitimate company expense) and I like that I get to choose which companies my corporate GBPs support; especially when their values appear to align with my own.

On your other questions: you might like to read this financial report from earlier this year, on the sourcehut blog: https://sourcehut.org/blog/2023-03-27-2022-financial-report/
@dab41b40 I asked to pay them with Bitcoin a few years ago.

They declined. Today, I take this as a good sign that they have competent management 😉
@dab41b40 Sourcehut is one of the most transparent organisations around. They publish their books yearly, describing exactly what their expenses and revenues are.
If you're concerned about Devs getting paid, you can do no better than sourcehut.
