Interesting as linux6.5.5_2 boots just fine on my none FDE test void laptop.
So it seems like it has an issue with my full disk encryption whereas previous kernels don't ???? 

 Hold on I think I've found out what has gone wrong. I'm away to reboot to test my theory and then I'll report what this dozy so and so found.
