Looking for some #adhd advice… What do you use to remind yourself of "out of sight out of mind" kind of projects? Like, I feel like I want some kind of visualization so I can be like "oh I haven't made much progress on that thing in a while".
Like, yeah yeah I could/should do some kind of weekly review, but I also have never been able to get myself to do that regularly. I *feel* like a big visual map of things would work better for my brain, idk.
@be314b31@298906f7 Can't wait for the first one of these companies to pivot into generative AI. It'll be like "we fed everyone's DNA into a training set and if you give us a billion dollars we'll figure out how to something something CRISPR" And the best part is they will (fork over the billion dollars)
lol I signed up for Dropbox Premium through the iPhone app, then cancelled through my Apple subscriptions, *they sent me an email acknowledging the cancellation*… and now they’re sending me an email saying there’s a problem processing my payment.
Anyone know if it's possible to remote log in (screen share) to a Mac user who hasn't logged in before? Like, create a new user and then switch to that user? It seems like the first time configuration assistant blocks any screen sharing.
@15e2bc2d Update: Stampli has declared bankruptcy after its payment system hallucinated and cut a $200 million check to a little league team in rural Indiana.
Thinking of writing a letter to the editor in my local paper about this ... anyone know a good thing to cite on the principle that authoritarians use disinformation not so much to make people believe or disbelieve specific things, but to generally not believe in anything? https://mastodon.social/@misc/111167032261063097
Just the most pitiful response from the "nice liberals" at CCC, to two of its endorsees being exposed as MAGA bigots online. "They were hacked!" "Cancel culture!" "This is a distraction!" Have some self respect, people. Un-endorse them, or own what you're endorsing. https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2023/10/2/cambridge-citizens-coalition-protest/ #CambridgeMA #CambMA
@aa292f70 Yeah it's been a while (saw it in theaters) so I don't remember these specific issues, or even many details at all, but I do remember feeling bothered by some plot things that didn't add up.
@aa292f70 Have you seen "Stalker" by Tarkovsky? I happened to see it for the first time shortly before watching Blade Runner 2049, and I feel like the former kind of opened me up to the latter /taught me how to watch it.
I want to like fiction audiobooks more, because audio generally really works for me as a way of taking in information. But when it comes to fiction, I often find the medium kind of unforgiving with my #adhd - like it's easier for me to get lost if I zone out for a second, compared to podcasts, or nonfiction audiobooks, or even text to speech articles. Maybe because I lose track of which antecedents go with which pronouns? Not always, but a lot of the time. Anyone else have this issue?
@b88c2e41@83211688 Tried restarting (effectively - my phone runs out of power at least once a day and this notification issue is several days running). I'll try reinstall.

@b88c2e41 I take it those are yours? Fair enough that was an aesthetic before the fash co-opted it. But I don't give these guys the benefit of the doubt.
@df985c6c@8388665a So, I think what's going on is, clowns are *very* scary to some people, and completely unscary to other people (me), so portrayals of "scary clowns" try to please (scare) everyone by throwing in the teeth and whatnot, but like, it doesn't work, cause clowns aren't scary. (sorry not sorry)
