The problem is that your nsec is not just used for login. All events need your signature (posting, settings, ..) and every DM needs the key for decryption. You would need to hold up that card very often if your key should stay on the card.
Our best option is a WiFi connected signing device that we can trust more than the phone OS. This would be a hardware nsec bunker.
Wouldn't it be more flexible to use a parameterized list where users can create mutiple collections (with different d tags) and just use 'gallery' by convention for the profile gallery?
The events where 'd' has a meaning are the 3xxxx parameterized events. AFAIK for the 1xxxx events the d is not used, i.e. there can be only one per user.
If we wanted mutiple lists it should be a 3xxxx number.
But it might be ok to just have one profile gallery list.
Are you using sha256 hash based adressing compatible to Blossom? Then I be able to add it to bouquet.slidestr.net. Kieran wants me to support nip96 anyway.
The important thing is to have the sha256 in the URL to match the content. That's currently a problem with the transformations you are doing when it comes to images.
The concept of reupload to other servers requires that the hash in URL and content match.
Apparently CNN is not understood the internet yet. The Streisand effect will now make sure we’ll have lots of copies of that stream. Not on YT but everywhere else.
I think there should be a way (a tag?) to find the root node, i.e. the Book. Currently a book and a chapter can not be distinguished when searching for 30040 events. Or am I mistaken?
Use case: I want to display all books on nostr.
I agree with using tags for the metadata.
@liminal my point was that the 30040's have two uses. On the top level they are used as a book. On the second and deeper levels they are used as sections.
Imagine there are thousands of books and tens of thousands of sections (all 30040 events). How do I query for the list of books? IMHO there is a tag needed to identify the top level books.
I have an android user question, I need help answering. The user has started with snort app and created their private key. Snort only shows the key as seed words mnemonic.
How can he copy his key as nsec to use in amethyst?
Or is there a way to enter seed words in amethyst?

Economy is in the toilet, demographic outlook futile, our last hope are those 50000 btc but we sell them and rather buy a few leopard tanks for 2.9 billion.
In Primal on Android you can configure it in the settings.
In Primal on iOS they have removed the option with the App Store release. I suppose it was in fear of Apple getting on their back (like Damus).
