I've had a successful Haveno-Reto experience. Now I can make a video about it.
It really has inherited the best qualities of Bisq 1 and improved it by virtue of XMR's faster confirmation time. As long as both Taker/Maker are active at their PC, a trade can easily be funded, sent, confirmed and finalized in less than an hour.
An Announcement Regarding アノニマスの見解 PeerTube
(TL;DR - public registration is open, no video uploading tho, also you can use Lightning to log in and Zap and shit now)
In the process of testing the features of the Bitcoin Lightning plugin, I opened registrations on my PeerTube server. After some consideration, I decided to leave them open, but disable video uploading.
On the one hand, I realize I have some reasonably good hardware propping this thing up, and using it all for myself seems a bit wasteful. On the other hand, storage space isn't cheap, and if I let anybody upload willy nilly I'll run out of space and either have to expand storage beyond my financial ability to maintain it, or just have to shut down.
Still, even without uploads, having the ability to make an account and explore PeerTube's so-called "vidiverse" has some value, even if it's only to subscribe, comment, like, etc. So anybody who wants to check out PeerTube as a viewer, feel free to sign up.
I'm also in the process of testing out Bitcoin Lightning support, and I think I have Alby wallet logins and video Zap buttons working. It seems pretty tightly connected to Alby, though, so idk if other wallets/browser extensions/whatever will work. We'll see how it goes:
Standard account creation - https://peertube.anon-kenkai.com/signup
Alby/Lightning account creation - https://peertube.anon-kenkai.com/login
(select the "Alby authentication" button, and get back to me if you try and it doesn't work)
@Ryu Yeah, the whole thing seems to lean heavily on Alby's API to work, and even though it says that other Lightning plugins/clients/etc are supposed to work, I'm having some kind of problem having it even recognize the Client ID/Secret that I've very clearly input in settings.
I'm giving it this week, and if I can't get it working or figure it out by then, I'm writing it off as non-viable.
@Ryu
I've installed the Lighting plugin, but I think the settings are fucked somehow. Can you check the Zap button under any video and see if it does anything for you, or just ends in an error?
@Ryu
>what are you using software-wise to host your own Lightning node?
Nothing, actually, I'm just planning to use a Lightning Plugin for PeerTube: https://github.com/dhk2/peertube-plugin-lightning
I know it works for logging in with Alby wallets, I just want to see how far that stretches, and also if lightning zap buttons at least manifest and operate properly.
@Ryu Hey, I may be trying to test out some LN plugins with muh PeerTube server in the near term future. If I do, would you mind helping me test a couple things? Not today, maybe not even this weekend, but probably this month.
Mainly I want to try enabling login with lightning wallets, just to see if it works with standard registration remaining closed.
@12aaf1f0@Machismo@440af60e@05ad22c7 Based on conversations in the dev channel, XMR/Fiat pairs are one of the most requested features, and might be coming in the eventual Bisq 2. No timeline on that yet, unfortunately.
@Pablo Xannybar@Ryu@mattybs
Oh god, you mean a version of Brave that'll let me use the integrated wallet without demanding I sign up with a shitty KYC exchange? Sign me the fuck up.
アノニマスの見解 Mitra has been upgraded to 2.0.0
It actually went a lot smoother than I thought... keeping up with changes in config.yaml during earlier upgrades made sure half the work was already done for me.
This weekend, Streaming Saturday is back yet again for more adventures in the Zone. With Pripyat open, we've joined Strelok's crew to take on a seemingly immortal Monolith warrior. But first, we need to run a shitzillion errands for the rest of the team.
Does Strelok need his laundry done? Does Rogue need help with his verrucas? Is this entire quest line just a hazing ritual? Let's find out!
"Let's Play: S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly, Part 13" is Saturday, October 7th at 8:30pm JST, only on PeerTube

I'm reading up more on the Qualified Invoice system asvresearch for a video, and its almost impressive how much JGov has reamed freelancers and small business through pure procedure. Without changing the actual tax rate, they've increased tax revenue for themselves and nut-punched anybody below the corpo level.
If you've already got CULTIC, there's a free bonus "Interlude" level released by the dev that serves as a bridge between Episodes 1 and 2 available now.
"GMod Follies: Cappipalism and Bnuuy - the VOD!" is now available on Odysee:
https://odysee.com/@PeerTubeVODs:4/gmod_pippa_vod:2
The actual video production of Pippa's Walmart Rampage is still forthcoming.
So I watched two of the Atlas Shrugged movies, and aside from the low production value (looked like Made-For-TV fare in places), I can't say that I hated it. It was actually pretty engaging.
アノニマスの見解 Mitra has now upgraded to v1.36.1
This necessitated an in-place OS version upgrade, as some package requirements couldn't otherwise be met. One new feature I'm happy about is that, if enabled in settings, local timeline can be viewed by passing visitors via the "Explore" button on the instance landing page.
https://mitra.anon-kenkai.com/media/1b2070573b63add49cbf54539d32020c120477f0661692a68c1b556307ecbc42.png
I knew that Atlas Shrugged got turned into a movie, but I didn't realize it was actually split up over three movies... each with completely different directors and and a different cast. I almost feel like watching them, because I don't know if that means it was a train wreck or it was just a scheduling thing.
Peertube Chat Plugin's latest version includes a ChatBot you can configure to react to commands or blurt messages every X minutes.
I absolutely want to play with it, but so far it doesn't seem to be showing up in the chat even when properly configured. I'll keep tinkering with it, I'm hopeful it can be made functional by Saturday.
An error with brush mapping existed in that last version that fucked with NPC pathfinding. That's fixed, and several other adjustments in the latest version:

Fixed up and packaged into a new version: https://share.anon-kenkai.com/threepenny_v5.zip
Barring any major issues or fixes needed in this version, I think I'm comfortable moving forward to properly packaging and releasing it.
During last night's DarkRadiant build stream, I said that making the neutral NPCs in the tavern go hostile only if the player grabbed gold off their table would be difficult.. in fact, it was much easier than I thought.
DarkRadiant's "Stim/Response" system is actually very handy... I managed to create a Response on each gold pile to convert the armed thug at the gambling table from a neutral to a hostile faction when frobbed by the player. Both NPCs at the table notice if gold is missing and go to alert immediately, but only the armed thug will attack the player if he spots them. The other NPCs will mind their business... until the thug is killed, at which point spotting a body (and possibly seeing the player as the killer) will make them flee the common room and call for help.
In the end, the results all come across as pretty organic and I like the way it plays out.
Part of me felt like doing a video about Unity, but I look online and like literally everybody is talking about it... we've hit the saturation point. I don't think there's anything more that needs to be said about it.
Since I decided to stay up stupidly late anyway, "Let's Make: DarkRadiant/Dark Mod Build Stream - the VOD!" is now available on Odysee way ahead of schedule:

"We clocked the T-Rex at 32DD"
"...wait...you have a T-Rex?"
"Yes."
"Say that again."
"We have a T-Rex!"
"...oh my god..."
"Would you like to meet her?"
"....her?"
Movie Idea: a Jurrasic Park reboot where instead of a theme park it's a theme restaurant, and they clone dinosaurs to cook their meat.
Makes it extra ironic when they run amok and start eating people back.
You could have a scene where a guy on the patio is about to tuck into a giant T-Rex steak, and just as he's putting his bib on the camera dollies back and you see a T-Rex looming behind him, also with a T-Rex sized bib on.
Movie Idea: a Jurrasic Paek reboot where instead of a theme park it's a theme restaurant, and they clone dinosaurs to harvest their meat.

アノニマスの見解 Mitra has now been updated to v1.35.0
As of this version, the public timeline of the instance can now be set as visible to public users (it is), and the instance admin can be set as visible (it is)
paging @silverpill , did I interpret the "instance_timeline_public" setting correctly, in that it allows public timeline to be visible without logging in?
@Ryu I'm still leaning into a second theory that they wanted to expand Unity's telemetry and make it more invasive, and intentionally leaned into this stupid revenue plan to start a garbage fire so big it would overshadow the telemetry itself.
Then when they "apologize" and roll back the payment plan, the telemetry that would have enabled it stays in and everybody's too busy high-fiving each other to pay attention or care.
But I may be overthinking this.
