TBH I’m really excited to go down to the local coffee shop tomorrow and have a big ol’ cup of schadenfreude over coastal liberal tears.
A real deliciously.
I’m an anarchist and I don’t vote, and living in a liberal bubble, I enjoy the sense of schadenfreude over their zealous comment to democracy backfiring on them.
Gm frens,
I have a hopefully message for you all today:
No matter what the state does, who is elected, or what new bullshit they come up with today; they cannot destroy bitcoin and they cannot take away the sovereignty that is found within cryptography.
So long as there are still the crazies, the radicals, and those who refuse to live within the bounds of a walled garden society, there will always be the space for the he rabble rousers to create a life for themselves. And now with bitcoin, there will be a way for them to protect and save their wealth against any and all governments that seek to impose their tyrannies upon them.
Rejoice and celebrate for we are winning and we are only a short 16 years into this. Within another 16 years we will become the preliminary political force to be reckoned with that will offer all people everywhere, and into the future, the power and capacity to protect their wealth beyond the violations of any state.
It is a most beautiful and fitting story for the destiny of man, and what it means to be free in our day and age.
I’m coming to the sad conclusion that there really isn’t much going on inside of 90% of people. While they have the capacity and capability to self-reflect and creatively engage in the world, they don’t. They desire ease, comfort, and conformity above all else.
Not only that, but they fill themselves with so much garbage, propaganda, and ideals from others around them who are similar; they mute any real voice or agency that does come from within. They are not interested in the dynamic creative possibilities of the world, but the ease of obedience towards those who know what’s best for them. Their motto is ‘don’t rock the boat’.
These people are fucking dangerous, not because they want to hurt you, but because they lack the capacity to truly self-reflect in a meaningful way. They don’t care about what is true, just that the rules are followed. They don’t want to feel uncomfortable within self-reflection, but to flee into the values of others they have been told are theirs as well and is the only right way to be.
It is a valorization of callousness, a celebration of conformity, and a religious respect for authority to such an extent that their own personal responsibility vanishes.
These are NPCs. They are agents of the system and an integral part of how it functions and projects power. They are little more that drones at the subservience of the state, and only a radical awakening that forces them into the existential angst of what their only life is and means is the only thing that can truly awaken beings that are so asleep that they have forgotten their own being.
I didn’t say everyone, but 90%.
It the 10% that makes accepting and trying with the 90% worth it. I have sympathy for the 90%, but not empathy. At some point we all should take on the responsibility of what it really means to be who we are, and who we want to be, rather than what has been given to us. The former demands the courage to think for yourself, while the latter demands simple obedience.
Indeed, we are all sadly part of a huge inverted eugenics project that is the modern world that broke, mutilated, and murdered entire ethnic classes to create uniform cattle to serve the machine. The trauma is so deep it defines the very essence of the modern human.
I’ve learned that for some people in my life that keeping the peace and just talking sportsball or about the weather works, but for others that seem open to the possibilities I’ll challenge them in an inviting way.
Truth is that as I’ve changed so have my friendships and the groups I hang around. While it can be challenging and isolating at times (particularly when such changes are new) what is birthed from it and the new relationship that are created is much more meaningful imho.
I mean, how does it become any more centralized? You need both a birth and death certificate from the state to be a legitimate person in their eyes, along with the unholy alliance between medical authorities and state bureaucracy. The very idea in giving birth today no longer has any of the divinity or spirituality of the sacred act of life-creation, but only the biological materialism of production towards the state.
Giorgio Agamben has a really great analysis of this in, “The Uses of Bodies” the final book of the homo sacer series.
I have always struggled to get myself motivated to lift weight, or work out for that matter, but I’ve finally been doing it more consistently over the last several months.
Much more than simply getting more fit, I find that I have a lot more endogenous motivation to just do chores and other shit that I need to do, and I don’t slip into feeling depressed as I have a tendency to do.
While it was pretty hard to get myself out to my gym in my workshop at first, I’m finding more and more that it’s becoming easier to get myself out there to do it, and start my day on a good note that lets me have a productive day that I would have otherwise wasted.
It feels good man.
As a gift for Bitcoin’s sweet 16 my friend Tomer Strolight (I’d tag him but the client keeps crashing when I do) and I have been doing a few calls a month where we rap deep about Bitcoin, how it has changed us, and how it is changing the world. We thought that we would try sharing it as some folks might get some value out of it.
With that, I present the first episode (and maybe the last, who knows) of what we decided to call The Spirt of Satoshi!

Thanks for reading and feedback and comments are always appreciated!
Bitcoin is a one-way street.
You don’t see bitcoiners becoming fiat people; once they change they stay that way (with the fun exception of bitcoin derangement syndrome).
This means every single day the fiat system gets a little weaker and bitcoin gets a bit stronger.
It’s just a matter of time before the crossover inflection point happens.
I use to have this quote on my wall.
You know the mother fucker was shot in the chest before giving this speech, refused medical aid, and continued giving the speech?
They don’t build men like they use too.
TBH I think what triggers the statist the most is when I call them retarded authoritarians who refuse to think for themselves.
Maybe just my experience tho.
Like many, I really enjoy podcast, but fuck I absolutely hate the moment of prostitution where they start pitching me on their bullshit.
Look, if I value you what you create, I’ll seek out to support you, but when you need to spread your legs in the middle of a good conversation I just wanna turn it off.
I can’t wait for more V4V only podcast, and content.
I will not be voting in this election, or any others for that matter.
Not because I don’t believe in democracy, nor because I don’t believe in the political rights that have been won by generations past; but because of how atrophied both have become in the mutilated abomination that we currently call our form of politics and voting. The false dichotomy that is the current forms of red and blue I believe are much more damaging and pernicious than refusing to vote for either could ever be. Our political agency has been lost, and politics is most squarely to blame.
There once was a time that our elections were actually free and fair, that voting for the right people in the right places and circumstances could make significant differences that actualized The Political; but that is no longer true of the system of politics that has replaced The Political. All that we have now is a system of false and petty differences that will ensure that the machine of government and military continues to crush on, be it under a banner of blue or red—this is the only real ‘political’ choice that we are given. As for everything else, it will continue on to masquerade and marionette towards the promise of possibilities that will never come, just as the broken dreams of change will continue to tell.
I say this to you as the US federal government funnels billions of dollars into foreign wars and shell corporations that will get their money no matter who wins. I tell you this as every budget continues to spiral out of control with every politician having more concern with how they will get their cut, than how they will stop the madness. I say this at the very moment that some child is being killed with munitions from money that each of us as citizens had our dollars financed, and with there being no possibility for any of us to end any of this—at least not as far as voting is concerned.
While I believe in democracy, it is not the one of the state provides, and while I believe in voting, it is not a principle that doing once every four years can solve anything at all. Our current system of politics is at its end, and it has been for quite a while. It is all entirely clear and apparent for anyone to see, and yet the consequence of this truth is far too profound and existential for anyone to actually speak to. That is because the terror of having to admit to ourselves that our political system has been overthrown and taken over by non-elected officials who are responsible to no one but themselves and their contingency of politics is all that matters within the engine of the state, and its demand to remain in power no matter what. The real danger is the state of emergency that has become every day of our lives, with no possible hope of it ending, no matter who is elected to whatever role it may be. The machine of the state operates in one direction, and it is to continue to gather more power for itself no matter what.
To accept the truth of the darkness that we are in is to also accept the fact that this is not something that we can vote our way out of. If we are to create the radical change that we must manifest not only to save ourselves from the destitution and squaller that the current system of politics seeks to impress upon us, but to also create a radical new hopeful future where the vote and democracy can means something again, than it is something that we must build for ourselves alone. If we are to give ourselves and posterity a future that is more free and far than the one that we were given, where The Political can open itself up to politics once again, we must accept that the current path leads to nowhere. We must demand of ourselves to go out into that darkness and seek out new and different solutions that are outside and beyond the power of the state to influence or control so that we may access The Political once again and see what the truth of voting and democracy can offer, or what new and different political systems can offer.
The Political is the radical power that all people everywhere are alway entitled to when the see that the power to create change comes not from asking for approval from the old systems; but to neutralize them with something new. While I do not know what these new systems are, or how they will be created, I do see that there is something immensely powerful in what is being built here. The internet and the possibilities that it offers along with decentralized, censorship-resistance systems imbedded with cryptography at their heart, and sovereignty in mind may just be the kind of protocol that we need to breath life into The Political once again. Few of you will believe in the possibility of such new system of politics for the future, and even fewer will participate in attempting to building such systems, but I believe it is our only hope to create a future which is more free than the one that we have been given, and it is the only hope we have now to ever access The Political again.
