We are a constitutional republic with democratically elected officials (thank God) NOT a democracy. If the democratic electoral process is compromised or undermined in some states then other members of the federation should sue and if the supreme court refuses to hear the cases they should secede
Indeed, but it would be irrational.
Knowing with 100% certainty that one of those scenarios will take place then the rational action is to influence the outcome so the more favorable scenario occurs. Especially when the action is low effort and difficulty.
Abstaining from participating in the electoral process does not shield one from the consequences of the outcome.
In that case I think it’s more productive to write-in the person that you would like to be president. This at least sends a message similar to voting with your wallet.
Not voting for a presidential candidate doesn’t do anything. People can abstain for ideological reasons, but nothing is really being communicated. If you vote for a third party or a random person you let future candidates know what you want to see and what they can do to earn your vote.
Saying “well, Trump is gonna print money too, so he is no better than Kamala” in the context of inflation is left curve thinking.
You have to look at both inflationary and deflationary pressures. Either candidate will expand the money supply (inflationary pressure), but Trump will lower energy cost and reduce regulations (deflationary pressures).
Trump can pump bitcoin with money printing, and lower the cost of consumer goods at the same time.
Don’t be a martyr (op)
Be a winner
Those are country specific, and their effect will vary if he can reduce income taxes even further.
Great policy regardless, especially from a national security perspective
I came to that conclusion years ago. The low time preference path is to end the department of education and improve the diet of pregnant women and kids.
Hopefully RFK can help with that
They won’t
You’re out of touch with the rest of society. Also, the US government already has decentralized powers. They just need to use their powers, but the supreme court is full of cowards
That’s like saying three branches (Devs, miners, nodes) of a centralized cryptocurrency in bitcoin.
Bad no nonsensical comment.
A country has to ultimately serve its interest.
