Hunting has never been part of my family's mode of being. I know there's a reason behind it, but I am still saddened by it. I eat meat, so I make no sense!

We're in mid-Atlantic, inland, because it's about as close we can get. A little snow, a lot of hot and humid, a lot of rain and plenty of lovely weather.
My Boston cousin spends a month in Sedona each winter and I'm tempted to do something similar after we both retire. Mountains in the summer and a warm place in the winter would be perfect.
Come on, lottery!

I prefer spring because of all the flowering trees. But this fall weather is my second choice.
I wish there were a place where this sort of weather was normal year-round.

We are having a stretch of lovely weather. We were able to open doors and windows yesterday as the temperature was in the low 70F range. Not too cold and not too hot. I love this weather and wish we could have it all year.

And "full retirement" age is ratcheting up. Mine was a number between 66 and 67. DH is younger and looking at a bit older age. I don't recall the formula, but I think the benefit goes up 8% maybe for each year after full retirement up to age 70. And the benefit is based on highest earning years. There's lots of math.
For me, I'm hanging in until 70, as my salary is going up which will increase the payments, assuming the program isn't gutted in the next few years.
The local weather guesser posts that this morning is starting with drizzzle. Laughing because that extra Z sounds about right.
It's my monthly Freedom Friday when my morning is mine to enjoy as I please. I foresee a leisurely breakfast, lots of coffee and some quiet time to read or to scroll through cat posts.

Happy Saturday.
I have a Hungry Root order arriving today, but it's what they picked for me, not what I picked. I totally forgot to check while I could make changes. There was even a reminder on my phone, but I missed it somehow. Apparently I failed at adulting that day.

It's a lovely Friday.
Sent DH off to work with the promise that I will have less gray hair when he sees me next. It's also the day to go to the vet clinic and pick up more prescription cat food for Miss Melody.
I have put my work computer away in the bag with the goal of not getting it out until Monday morning. Wish me luck and willpower!
It's a good weekend for #genealogy research and blogging. Working on a Swedish chain migration story.

Need some app advice.
iOS, iPad
I have been using the dated HanDBase with Forms since Palm Pilot days and love it/hate it. I need a replacement, as the last updates broke my most critical form. Since Dan is backing off support, it's just time.
Prefer an app with an open DB so I can get at it multiple ways. Windows/iOS data transfer. Internal image storage. Good GUI is critical. Price not a barrier, but no subscription model. Straight purchase.
Sample in image.

It's a glorious, though hot, Friday. A vacation day for me, but I have to do some adulting. I hate adulting.
Then it's back to the latest blog post which is done except for explaining the DNA analysis. When two brick walls meet, can DNA explode them?
